He's 17, and living the dream millions wish they could. But he misses his old life. You can tell he adores his fans and loves what he does. But sometimes he cant help but wish things were normal, and it's sad he feels like this. Ruel's truly too beautiful for this world. Please protect him no matter what. He deserves to always be surrounded by love and happiness.

Alot of celebrities we know and idolize have suffered from things like depression, eating disorders, anxiety, mental health issues, bulimia, anorexia, dr*g addictions, lots of them still do. and im not saying that Ruel has any of that. My point is that fame really gets to some people, i mean, imagine always being in the public eye, having a reputation, bad press. Alot of celebrities basically get controlled by their management, they're record labels ect ect. Being famous isn't easy, theres some who have taken their life because of it. It kinda makes you wonder, because who wouldn't wanna be famous? But is it really worth it. I know Ruel wanted this, and he chose the life he has, but being pressured all the time, and being held to so many limitations especially as such a young age. Of course it's gonna be hard.

Fast forward 4 years , hes 20 touring the world selling 100,000 capacity people stadiums , just honestly truly from the bottom of my heart wishing him all the happiness in the world.
He is literally giving up his life for us, to preform at concerts. yeah I get it, it is the job he chose but look at how young he is, 16! There's something about Ruel's EP that I can't get enough of. All songs from his EP are good, giving us different emotions. If Bruno Mars make songs about "what girls wanna hear", Taylor Swift make songs about "what girls wanna say", Ruel is "the new voice" of this modern age, our representative because he feels what we feel making/turning it into a song.
I just became home schooled this year for my first year of high school and i was really sad, I lost all my friends and they would talk about things and make jokes I didn't get because i wasn't in school. This song came out the day i started school, "see it on my phone that my friends back there got inside jokes without me'' is the one line that really make me cry. I listened to this today for the first time when I was taking the subway back from school, and I felt myself tearing up in public. For the past few months, I had this weight in my heart and I didn’t know why I seemed emotionless all the time. This song describes my inner thoughts perfectly. To my friends, I seem cold because I don’t share my feelings easily and I’m not necessarily a clingy person. However, I could tell that my friends are slowly drifting away from me and I constantly feel like I’m watching over myself without truly engaging in the present moment. Sometimes it’s just hard for me to be happy and to be remember to be grateful. I have no idea how to go back to how it used to be when I was so much closer with my friends. I’m a senior in high school now and I don’t know how to mend my relationship with my friends before going off to college. I just feel like I’m always alone when my friends don’t come looking for me during lunch anymore. I feel like I’m just pouring myself out in a RU-vid comment section, but this song just inspired me to do so. Thank you Ruel.
This is my exact situation and I try so hard to became closer with my friends and all that. I know I have all these things to be smiling about but I feel so lonely all the time. I really love this song. It's very emotional and I can relate to him eventhough my life is completely different than his. I think he's singing about being on tour and always on the road when he sometimes just wants to stay at home with his friends and I totally get that. I wish Ruel all the best and I hope he's still living his teenage life and is not only focused on his career.

I almost cried about three times during this song. So emotional. We don’t truly see how hard it can be in the spotlight until one actually expresses it in such a way that Ruel has. This song is so powerful and even though I and most of the people on here have no idea what he must go through, it still touches us and makes us feel a strong level of sadness and sympathy. 💕💕❤️

Love this song so much. Ruel has helped me so much and always makes me smile watching videos of him. I struggle with self harm and suicidal thoughts so things can really be hard a lot of the time, and music is sometimes the only thing that gets me through. He is also insanely talented and I love him, even though he’ll never have a clue who I am. ❤️❤️❤️❤️ (3 weeks clean today)
Ruel I get it, i've been homeschooled for the past 5 years and haven't had a single friend since I left public school. It gets really lonely sometimes, but it's great to be able to listen to songs that are so relatable.
