Here's some lore for the "Black hole." That thing is not a black hole, but a wormhole, and the rings around it are wormhole stabilizers. It was constructed by a hyper-advanced, robot alien race that may or may not show up later. The audio is a distorted version of the last 5 minutes of "Everything at the End of Time," by The Caretaker. There is no point in processing it because it just kills the audio, a few other signals are like that. Also, the difficulty setting changes the following: Hunger and stamina depletion rate, the amount of time in a day, and number of drives and hash codes Dr. Boa asks for. Playing on hard++ will get you like 250 points per daily task.
you probabbly know this by now, but Vargfren is a reference to the streamer Vargskelethor/Joel (Of Vinesauce affiliation) and Fren is his little character self insert he created. The Devs are fans of his, and Joel is a HUGE fan of these slow burn alien scay games, and has been playing since almsot after this game started, and the des regularly visit his streams and take ideas from what he saiys he's scared of!
I think the hammer and nails are functional in this version of the game, the nails should be under the misc tab of the store but I don't remember. Might take a bit of experimenting to get the nails to work properly.
