As an Englishman just sat here shaking my head and smiling. Doesn't that just sum up all that is brilliant about our fantastic game. You have the intensity of Rassie and the focus of Farrell. You see two teams knocking shit out of each other and a closer game with a spectacular finish you just might never see. For what? nothing on the line but reputation and then the fans, oh those fans...brilliant. Any chance Twickenham can adopt a bit more of that and a lot less stiff upper shite!!! Bring back the rugby lads.
As a Saffa, I have many great memories of my days in London watching games at Twickers but the pre/post-match party is at a pub and not a braai in an open field. We did have a braai at 3am in the snow in Putney after the 2007 RWC win.
So amazing to see the interactions at the end, real fans showing the spirit of the game and none of the nastiness you see on Twitter. Excellent stuff and well done to the Irish for the result

Love these vids. The people and fans are the lifeblood of the game and every time you interview ppl around the grounds it shows how healthy rugby is. And yup, I'm now saving for a rugby tour of SA!
As a South African, it makes me happy to see Irish people enjoying the win. For me, the Boks showed greatness in the second half to get back in the game, and Ireland showed that they are a force in world rugby. The game was 50/50, to the very end. No team was in total control, I think Rugby was the true winner.
Brilliant post, as usual. Fantastic the way rugby fans interact, true sportsmen the lot of them. I am 65 years old and Irish, it is great to be competing with the best, long may it last. Look forward to welcoming the Southern hemisphere teams to Dublin in the autumn, their fans are in for a treat.

Yes we have the best product in world rugby from outside to inside the stadium. And for the Libbok vs Sacha Mngomezulu ratings, at this point in time,Sacha is winning at 10 just based on kicking accuracy.We must consider though Manie was thrusted in due to lack of experienced campaigners going into and AT A WORLD CUP!So it was sink or swim for him but for Sacha it was less pressured for him to adapt. We will see with the next games ahead.

This is how to embrace winning and losing. This is rugby. As a rugby fan, you can’t be disappointed. SA bullied in first. Ireland playing better rugby in 1st half. SA playing all the rugby in second half, and then made two bad decisions to close out the game, not mauling a lineout with 59sec to go. And feinberg catching ball into touch instead of leaving it. Great test match. Ireland deserved the win, saffa fan🙏
Well done Ireland. As a Boks supporter, my stomach began to turn after Pollard made the 6th successful goal, and the score was 18-16 in favour of the Boks. I hated this strategy that day. In a way I'm glad Ireland won, because I didn't want the Boks to win like that. Basically trying to force penalties to go for goal, even when they could clearly go for touch. That last drop goal was 🔥 I hated it so much 😭 Like the beautiful catch on the boundary in the T20 India vs SA. I loved and hated that catch at the same time 😅
I was so disappointed when SA decided to go for penalty instead of touch when Ireland had 14 players on the field. I seemed like we were scared to mail them over the try line...
As you experienced we love our rugby. Love a good game and enjoy a bit of good natured verbal sparring with opposing fans. After the game we party together and acknowledge the victors and moan about our teams errors (occasionally also moan about the ref 😉)
Like "Chasing the Sun", I am sure you have enough footage and experiences to make "Chasing the Egg" from an outside perspective. I think the only reasons there's such a fuss about the rankings is because NZ isn't in the top 2. I think these 2 tests summed up these 2 teams and there isn't a 3rd test so the rivalry is "to be continued...." With Willie out so early, the bloodbins, the extra long FH, the errors, defusing the bombsquad and the Boks sleeping in the first half and with Irelands 2 awesome dropgoals and then to end with a 1 point game, we can't be too hard on anyone, it's onwards and upwards from here, let's see how the Boks perform in the championships. Well done to Ireland and on Farrells 50th test too, Ire deserved a win here.

Just to get started i am a true Irish man and Munster man i am so proud of my Irish team and oh my god Andy Farrell is a true Irish man in my eyes, what he has done for this team is out of the world. what a great test the no1 and no2 in the world battling it out. To me i am happy that Ireland are still 2nd in the world, South Africa 🇿🇦 with all respect are the world champions so to me there are No1 one day i mean one day we will truly no1 when we left the Cup.

I was livid with that penalty given against Joe for offside when it clearly was knocked back by SA full back, surely between the lines man and ref they could see that! Could have swung that game there
