In the 80s nz as a young kid played with those brown balls.kicking in bare feet not recommended. Kirwan gets up from his first test try , no show boating or silly celebrations with street gang signs. No expression , just one pat on the back. Good hard men with no emotions required.
totally different game and player development not to mention the size. on average probably 10kgs heavier. and the set scrum a lot safer instead of crashing together.
Funny how Luke refuses to credit Rassie for wanting the Boks to evolve their game. He's kinda hoping they don't evolve and still to predictable rugby. What a clown 🤡🤣🚮
you obviously dont know the history of rugby in the 70s which was dominated by south Africa and new Zealand - fairly much how it is today - there was no random in terms of wins - SA & NZ were the only two teams at the top in the 70s
@@ev1lguy69 not sure the word snowflake is the term l would use when describing rugby in the 1980,s were head high tackles weren't a red card, or late tackles were ok ,rucking was a standard play, neck rolls were ok ,none of this happens today???!!!
@@robdykes3659 Yeah I think the guy means there are too many snowflakes today. And he’s probably right: hollywoods have been creeping into rugby for the past few years. Crying to the ref to review things; disrupting the flow of rugby; hoping for a yellow or red card for the opposition players. I watch a fair bit of retro rugby and league, sometimes re watching games I was at as a kid or young man. Some of the collisions and tackles were so dodgy, ha ha! Even after tries have been scored, with try scorers getting their heads taken off with late “tackles”.
@@sonnyblack6121 boycotted and getting pick because of your skin colour are the two ends of the extreme, there not the same, so what's your point buddy being boycotted is not being allowed to play at All in a white man's game, equality of outcome is being picked to make up a quota for black players who wouldn't make it into the team because there not good enough, but get picked because of there skin colour but don't have the talent
