Sad news...Michael Hoppers retirement from Rugby. He was unceremoniously dropped from the WC Wallaby team. Hoops was such a hard worker and gave 100% at every game. Best of everything to him.🇿🇦
im a saffa (another one i know). before the wales game some peeps said yeah boks by like 35 points. Most people were smart enough to know it isnt gonna be that simple. Some newish players being tested etc. For ireland we have the big guns out...still gonna be a coin flip. An yet i still see people saying they expect a sa vz nz score at twickenam. How do peeps arrive at that kind of conclusion. Ireland lost some good guys and got some new ones. Boks still need a little gel time after a break in games. Really cant call it although ill always back our boys. SA fans have matured a lot the last few years but i want all of us to change the perception that SA fans are all abraisive meatheads. The fact that WK feels the need to put a hard G sound when pronouncing every singe G and H in the player names, is hilarious. Just a tip, the African (black) player names typically has a throaty G sound on the H's. But you can use a regular H sound in all the white player names. Gerhard, for instance, is pronounced with a hard G, but a regular H sound. Love the passionate content though!
The 'G' in Gerhard is pronounced similarly to the throaty sound one makes when one loosens spit/phlegm before expectorating it. It sounds disgusting but that's the only way I can describe it. @@Wildkard

@@Wildkard Doubt it. He has said he doesn't want to throw players to the wolves like he was forced to because of the cvid enforced hiatus of 2020 and the need to win the Lions series in 2021 which effectively left 2022 for development.
Rugby must move to gymnastics style scoring. The judges can judge style, flair, the dive, as well as hair styles and jerseys. This will bring a wider audience to the sport and finally the prettiest rugby will win.

I tend to agree with you... It's war against the Irish. Because the Irish have been arrogant and want to prove they are better than Springboks...and Irish won't admit that they beat a weaker new Springbok team. Rassie may make changes against All Blacks to give the new players experience against a team like All Blacks...but also the All Blacks fans aren't arrogant and will acknowledge if a win was against a weaker team
I think Rassie will not intentionally throw games in the next 4 years, He's going to target development against countries like Portugal and Georgia so you will probably see more games played against tier 2 nations in the next 4 years. The only thing left to do for Rassie is go on an unbeaten run of like 20 games.
Utterly uncalled for from John Kirwan, Ireland vs South Africa in the world cup was a better match than New Zealand vs Italy. Should be a great test but fecking sky sports have the rights to the series in Ireland, so pub it is for watching the matches.
You have to remember when rassie massively changed the 23 to face wales because we didn't play any rugby in 2020. We lost that year yo experiment and change up our squad. Doubt very, very much rassie doesn't have the intention to win 2-0. Maybe some changes but I'd expect a pretty similar squad both weeks. Also just so you know grant williams is pronounced exactly like that. No accent or rolling the G... it's just Grant Williams how you'd say it in English
@Wildkard did you expect us to rotate our squad in the brittish and Irish lions series? Or when exactly? Against the all blacks? Because kurtlee arendse and cannon moodie among others debut that year. I realize the wales game was in 2022 but regardless we still missed out on 14 test matches in 2020.

Doc Rassie is not taking hostages here. Ireland came to South Africa with a very determined mindset to proof their status as the so called "best team" in the world. Which is not so. They have never made a semi final in a RWC tournament yet. Do we need to say more. Still, the good doc is going to have his innovative strategies tested.
