I have one chambered in 300 winmag. Best damn decision I ever made. Thing can shoot through a damn engine block. Sadly 8 don’t have that sweet tripod you do. But it’s on my to do list
Why is there always a "for the money " guy throwing his two cents in 😂. Just say its a damn accurate rifle that will perform better than most shooters are capable of. I would put any of my "for the money " rifles against the extreme rifles in a tit for tat comparison.
Against the RPR in 6.5CM, I'll take my Bergara HMR in 6.5CM, thanks. The Ruger is nice, without a doubt. The Bergara will keep up with it and leaves $900 in my pocket to put toward the optic.
@@iflguns honestly, if I'm packing for a hiking hunt, I'll take the Howa Super Lite in 6.5CM. I love my Bergara, but it's a *heavy* beast to lug into the mountains. The Howa is half the weight and darn close on accuracy. The barrel profile is great for hunting where you're not putting a lot of heat into it. For a sitting hunt out to 500 or 600, luuuuuuurve the HMR. For sure, we're at the point where we're debating the preference of redheads or brunettes. :)
You know that’s a great question, I kinda got the same issue democranch has and just get it close enough on paper and you don’t see the gun for 2 years 😂. Really just kinda got it because it was there not because I needed it or wanted it. Was hanging on the wall at my ffl for cheap so I got it 200 rounds and an optic and tried it out and filled that void in my life. Now it just sits in my man cave looking all pretty 😂
@@iflgunsthe factory break does great, recoil similar to an at-10. Was mainly a spur of the moment but. Bought sum 200 rounds for it but just have no reason to really shoot anymore besides to bring out and let people see a .338 or let them shoot. My nostalgia of the gun was over after the first few rounds and moved on to a 50 😂
It’s a sniper tripod, issued to the US marines. Other tactical units from Law Enforcement use them as well. They provide more opportunities to shoot standing and seated as opposed to freehand or prone. They provide a useful tool for long range hunting as well. The tactical benefits from tripods are worth the investment.
@iflguns The day I need a tripod to shoot 150 yards is the day I stop shooting. But I can understand that people with no ability need all the help they can get.
Marketing finds a circle jerk and makes a billion $$$. You should see the PRS guys dragging them around to brace themselves when not shooting from atop them. Goofy as all hell. They also stick red dots all over their scopes for better "target aquisition". Looks like those cheap Pinty scopes in FB ads.
The ground is elevated out to 300 yards, and we are shooting on a downwards trajectory using the tripod, any projectile missing the steel target will hit the dirt at 300 or 400 yards, it is perfectly safe.
Everyone knows there was no such thing as long range shooting until the 6.5 Creed-muffin, Hornady is laughing all the way to the bank. Hype caliber of the last decade.
If your trying to pass off you have black tip ammo you shouldn't be making these type of videos. If your not then you should explain to the viewer what your using.🧐
Ruger backs the atf, ruger nor Daniel defense will ever get another dollar of my money. Think about who you are supporting when you purchase your firearms.
