Awesome shooting! I I have the same gun and I was using the cci standard V for awhile from 50-100 until I started getting better groupings from the federal auto match. I was shooting from a prone position with a Caldwell precision turret to eliminate trigger pull. So now I just use the federal auto match
Nice vid. Thank you. I noticed yoh sometimes had trouble finding a good position for your thumb. I moved the safety to the right side and now it’s a perfect thumb rest!!
I have a 10/22 with a shelin barrel a it likes Federal auto match 1/4 groups at 50 yards, groups best with Eley match. SK match ammo has got good reviews but I haven’t had any luck finding any.
with the Winchester bulk brick stuff sub or right at 1 moa at 100 yards. I just got a bunch of stuff to test and see what I can get. Take this with a grain of salt, because I'm just getting into using the 22 and learning its ballistics, but I do centerline long range stuff and know how cant can REALLY affect accuracy, so not sure when shooting groups like this at 50 or 100 how much an anti cant device would help or how much cant would affect a 22
Prescision rifle? No, it's a budget rifle with a very rough action that feels like it left the factory half finished. I own one and apart from the half decent barrel the rest is junk. Magazine slops around the well like it's just hanging from the release. Looks like it should be a lot better but just goes to show. Looks don't count for much. Only ammo it actually likes is CCI standard.
@@jasoncampbell1843 Darn man, those results were disappointing for 50 yards. My last Ruger rimfire was a let down and it was a long range target model with a 22" barrel - I know the brand is popular but I'm never going near one again. I would recommend a CZ 457 if you want to see a tighter groups, out of the box. But first try a better scope if you want to stick with the RPR. I know it will sound like overkill, but a nice 6-24x50 will help in that area. Look at the Riton X1, affordable and clear glass.
@@scarbourgeoisie I have shot a friend’s CZ. It is top notch right out of the box! I’ve just always been a Ruger .22 fan, but I freely admit they are better off the shelf .22s. I’ll spend some more time with it and put on a longer scope to see how she does.
Not much precision for the price of that rifle. I will stay with my Savage 64 and spend the money on good ammunition. Seems to be the trick with 22 lr. Find what your rifle likes. PRECISION RIFLE they say not so much eh?
