Great video. I would never put that hard folding cover on, those prop rods don't look to scoocum. "It's going to block SOME of your rear window view..." Hahaha, damn near 200% of it I'd say.
Soft tri fold is awesome. Took me maybe 20 minutes to install after I studied the instructions and got the right tools together. Would love to set up on that red gladiator: rim size and width, tire specs and if / how much lift was added.
They're great except the center bar for the latches fall off, the screws will not stay in them. They should be riveted. Once they fall off, the cover loses strength and breaks down the middle. Seriously flawed design. Ask me how I know.
@@xxFormula1989xx I’ll keep an eye out for that. Thanks. I’m hindsight now 5 months later I do wish I’d gotten a solid cover that can support a lot of weight. But it’s a leased vehicle that I don’t intend to buy at the end so I didn’t want to invest too much in parts that may not be able to be repurposed.
I have bought the hard rolling cover. These have got to be some of the worst directions of any product. It's installing a tonneau cover how can you make it this difficult
You didn't mention about closing the tailgate when the cover is on. I have a Ram 1500 with an undercover cover just like the folding hardcover featured here. It operates exactly the same as the one shown here. On mine, the weatherstripping on the end of it (where it contacts the closed tailgate) requires that every time you open the tailgate, you HAVE to then pull the latch on the cover and lift it a little when you close the tailgate. Otherwise, the weatherstripping gets pinched between the cover and the tailgate. Does this cover have that same issue, or can you just close the tailgate regardless of the cover?
You can open and close the tailgate with the Hard Tri-Fold, Hard Rolling and Soft Tri-Fold in the closed position. The only cover that requires you to open it, before you shut your tailgate is the Soft Rolling cover.
So does the soft rollup cover work without the trail rail system? I've heard both that it does and doesn't. Want a soft rollup cover but need on that works without the rail system.
Hi people. I'm thinking to buy a jeep gladiator, but I need to put it a full bed close, like the jeep wrangler has in order to have it in the con-dominion that I live. I need to know if there is a bed cover that continue with the line of the roof of the gladiator and cover all the bed of the car. I hope I'm explain the idea, it should be different than the 4 Rugged Ridge Armis Bed Covers that you shown in this video. Thanks and rgds for your feedback
