ATTN: RU-vid IS SHUTTING DOWN ALL GUN CHANNELS! I have moved over to Rumble. Others are leaving RU-vid in droves as well. All my NEW content is being posted on Rumble and all my old content is being sync'd by Rumble and stored on their servers for preservation. My channel is easy to find, just search for "NFA Review" in the search bar and you can find me and subscribe! RU-vid has given me 2 strikes so far on videos that weren't out during their new policy change. In addition they are deleting 5-6 videos of mine a week! They are doing the same to other Gun Channels and even the manufacturers that have channels. It's time we take our viewership over to Rumble! New to suppressors and looking to order my first one. It will be for a bolt action 350 legend and occasionally a 7.62x39 bolt action. I was looking at the Rugged Obsidian 9 or the JK 155 Versastax 9. Which would you go with if you could only get one? Thanks for any advice!

Two Questions that I hope you don't get too often: 1. How does it compare (in the long configuration) with the CGS Mod 9? 2. Is the Obsidian 45 as quiet with 9mm or does the Obsidian 9 still have that edge?

If you use a console safe, you need to put metal across all the seams on the top of the console, so a flat bar can't get in between the seams to pry it open. They opened my Ford factory console vault like it was made of air. Also, if you have a newer model Ford Super Duty, have your horn (located right behind the front grill Ford logo) relocated. They'll pull the power cable to the horn, and your alarm won't be audible. In and out in under a minute. Awesome video!!

It's also rated for 9x39mm with atleast a 8 inch barrel just like the 300 blackout. For 350 legend it has to be a 16 inch barrel.

In the full configuration, is there supposed to be a small gap between the two parts of the suppressor or do they screw together flush? Looks like there's about a 1 mm space.

Whats wrong with the alluminium tube? The stainless steel baffles create an inner tube to contain the stress and the outer aluminum tube just keeps them aligned and keeps the weight down.

Obsidian9 is a two for one sized option. The MOD9SK is a cool little bugger but it’s loud. It’s best served to take the edge off homedefense setups, not impressing friends at the range. If that makes sense.

the phoenix has a way larger diameter, and $300 more. Plus the rugged is modular so basically two can lengths in one. And user serviceable. I would gladly say obsidian >>> gsl phoenix

I have read on a forum that someone was having a lot of issues with the Obsidian and had to send it back multiple times. Then the thread just ended with no further info. Was that you? And if so, what did Rugged say/do/whatever in the end? But that's the only time I've seen that, most others haven't had an issue with it.

@@Niarfor It did just end. We ended up fixing the suppressor and replacing the entire firearm since replacement barrels were no longer being made (the firearm was being discontinued). A small mark had been put on the barrel while we were measuring it, so we needed to make that right. Since the entire firearm was replaced, that took care the problems that the barrel was causing. Every once in a while, things can go wrong and do whatever it takes to make it right.

I’m waiting for my Rugged Obsidian 9 to use with my new SA Echelon handgun. I can’t wait! I did have some slight buyer’s remorse that I didn’t do more research to find a suppressor that could be used on more calibers/pressures, but it’s always a trade off! Do you have any recommendations for versatile, modular cans that aren’t too bulky when used on pistols?
