Here is a double unboxing of Rugrats Seasons 3 and 4 on DVD. Released by Paramount in February 2018. I'm really hoping they release the rest of Rugrats on DVD, as well as all of the other Nicktoons that still don't have DVD releases yet.
At first Walmart didn't have 'em, but they didn't have 'em in stock until February 18th, on Sunday and I finally pick 'em up that following Thursday. It was worth a wait. It'll be awesome if they release season 5 and 6 later on this year so we can build up our collections fast. Unless they'll be release next year. Either way, I'm very confident that the remaining 5 Seasons will be release soon.
I picked up "Seasons #3 and 4" this week too and Paramount is doing a good job so far! However "Season #4" has an error, it's missing one episode called "Angelica Noses Best/The Pirate Light". I've just found about this!
They are going by production order, not broadcast order. "Angelica Nose Best/Pirate Light" aired as a season 4 episode But it was produced with the intention to be a season 5 episode. Nickelodeon demanded another episode from Klasky Csupo to squeeze into season 4 So They gave what was intended to be season 5's opening episode, "Angelica Nose Best/Pirate Light" This is why "The turkey who came to dinner" comes before "Dust Bunnies/Educating Angelica" on the dvd when it came on After on broadcast. It was produced before but since it was Thanksgiving themed, Nickelodeon postponed airing it until closer to thanksgiving. "Angelica Nose Best/Pirate Light" is featured as a season 5 episode on the digital set and will likely be on the season 5 dvd when/if it comes out
I have the first 2 seasons on DVD & I plan on getting these 2 seasons too plus I’m trying to finish completing the SpongeBob SquarePants seasons 2 I only have the first 4 seasons of SpongeBob for now
I hope that Paramount will release season sets for The Fairly OddParents on DVD... but since Butch Hartman just left Nickelodeon I don’t know if it’s going to happen. :(
Taylor Glover Shout! Factory would also likely be a great company to release seasons of The Fairly OddParents on DVD. Especially considering they’ve released every episode of one of Butch Hartman’s other popular shows Danny Phantom.
Any word on season 5 and 6? With the reboot in the works I assume the entire series will be released eventually. Maybe they hit some production problems or something.
Retro Media Guy I honestly don't see it happening. Some of the Rugrats seasons have literally almost more episodes then some shows have in full series. If they do, they will most likely price it a lot higher than $50.
Jasbre Just About The Same. Season 3: $10.00 Plus $2.90 For Shipping Season 4: $7.00 Plus $2.90 For Shipping These Are From One Seller, Which Is Why Both Are The Same Shipping Price.
The box says for audio English 5.1? Do you have a Surround sound setup where you watch your DVD's and BluRay's? I really hope they did enhance the audio and remixed it to 5.1. Can you check?
Adam Garner I’m doubtful that they ever will. It all depended on the profits of the first four I think, and while I don’t know any of the numbers, I’m going to guess they weren’t enough to warrant further releases. We could hope for a complete series release, but I’m not so sure about that either.
they did not repackage the ren and stimpy boxsets in to one slim package complete series set. i was thinking they were to so i preordered it on amazon and when i got it it was just the 3 boxsets sealed in plastic.
Are they the same box sets that have cases for each individual DVD inside, or are they repackaged so that each volume is inside a standard sized DVD case?
J's Blu-Rays yes they are the same boxsets that have 3 thin DVD cases for each disc everything is as if you just bought them individually the thing that's different is the price. I payed 20.21 but i know if you buy the box sets individually it would cost around $30
also my season 4 case was manufactured wrong. the disc holder clips are too far apart and the disc 1 holder is only able to clip to one of the clpis and is only held in 1 of tbe clips. weird
I'm surprised that they've already gotten to season four in just about a year, but i guess with the Amazon CreateSpace releases no longer available they decided it was time to release them in stores and get them out to the fans. The fact that they released these two now must mean that the first two seasons have sold pretty well so far. I would like it if Doug could get season sets or a complete series set in stores eventually, but i do have the complete series MOD set from Amazon so at least i own the series even if its not in the greatest quality.
Fire Dust I like the whole show but what happened is after season 3 they started introducing more characters into the show and some people believe that that is bad
To an extent I can understand. I mean I get why some people hate Dil. I mean while I liked "The Rugrats Movie", Dil was my least favorite aspect of that movie because half the movie is just him crying his ass off, and I'm just here feeling for sorry for Tara Strong for having to demolish her vocal cords when voicing Dil. Kimi however I don't understand the hate for. I loved "Rugrats In Paris: The Movie", and she was one of my favorite aspects of it. I liked her energy, her playfulness and the fact that she actually was a good sister to Chuckie.
True. Thankfully when MLP added their new character in the 6th season, they only used her sparingly as to not get in the way of the main cast. Whereas Fairly Oddparents shoved their new characters in our faces.
Fire Dust I personally preferred the first 3 or 4 seasons, but there was no point it dropped low enough for me to stop watching. I also felt the last 2 seasons were definite upgrade from the ones beforehand, but whatever.
Not a Nicktoon but All That,Kenan & Kel,Clarissa Explains It All,Journey of Allen Strange,Welcome Freshmen,RoundHouse, etc as a complete series DVD set because I gave up on NickSplat block. I'd buy these shows on DVD immediately if they release it.
Amazon's season 1 were 3 discs. They were also Single Layered DVD-R's. Season 3 on amazon MOD was also on single layered dvd-rs and the set was 6 discs. Amazon's season 2 MOD used Dual Layered The Paramount sets are using Dual Layered discs. I'm confident Paramount will release the rest of the series. I mean, The amazon ones sold well enough to make Nickelodeon release them in stores. Amazon's MOD of Doug is also discontinued except for season 2. So I wonder if Nickelodeon has any plans with Paramount for Doug
Ah yes, that makes more sense now. I didn't think about the single vs dual layer reason for having less discs on the Paramount sets. And yes, I'd imagine Paramount will do something with Doug as well, but they really should get on it! If not, oh well...I'll just hold on to my Amazon set.
I hope Paramount does something with Doug. I have the amazon complete series. I had plans to buy it for a friend's birthday only to find scalpers selling it for 40-70.
Doug complete series was being sold on eBay for 19.99 during the holidays, thats when I bought mine. I think you can still get it for around that price now. Amazon is always the place where sellers sell movies a lot higher then Amazon when they're out of stock.
it's been out of stock nearly a year on amazon. They lowered the price to 6.07 on march 1st, 2017 then stopped selling it. Those ebayers Probably bought a few copies while it was that low. They also lowered the price of the Rugrats MOD sets last year as well. I paid $3.63 for season 1 MOD, $5.47 season 2 MOD, $5.85 for season 6 MOD in Feb. 2017 And then Shortly after I ordered those, Parmaount announced factory made sets for May 2017 of seasons 1 and 2. So since The Doug MOD sets seem to also be discountinued with the exception of season 2, Something tells me Either nickelodeon has something else planned Or the sets aren't selling that well. I'll wait awhile before resorting to ebay
Michael F. Oh I didn't know it was as low as $6 for the Doug complete series. The lowest I seen it go was $12. I see so they did scalp them up. That's lame. I wish someone would had did a video on them being that cheap. I just thought $19 was fair since most complete series for nick are priced around that at msrp. Yea i know, rugrats always drop in price which is why I never buy it on release, i have season 4 only because best buy gave me a $10 certificate. I probably won't get season 3 until it hits $5.
