Ruin had to go back to the vet today as the toe that was amputated last year started suddenly swelling. The vet aspirated it but I opted not to do cytology and lab work, primarily due to cost. He was started on antibiotics and antifungal medication for his skin. I am keeping a very close eye and monitoring his quality of life.
I want to mention that towards the end of this video you see him debating on getting up and still trying to swallow all the dry pieces of treat in his mouth and it might look concerning. He gets up slow at times but he walks around great all things considered. Promise he is alright! The vet was happy to see him walking fast around the exam room.
