'Ruk Ja Raat Thahar Ja Re Chanda' was originally sung by Lata Mangeshkar for the film 'Dil Ek Mandir' which was composed by Shankar Jaikishan & written by Shailendra.
This instrumental version has been blissfully played by Sunil Dass over Sitar reviving the music from yesteryear.

Sunil Dass is a genius and I have enjoyed his CD enormously, from which this track has been taken. My main problem with him is that he seems to have recorded only one CD whereas I believe there's a huge market for his sitar instrumental versions of hundreds of Hindi songs

Rarely have I heard a Shankar-Jaikishan composition rendered so sweetly! You have captured the essence of this truly wonderful song perfectly! As well as being note-perfect, your rendering touches one's heart in a unique way! The supporting music is outstanding, too!
