Learning to bombproof my roll and 've gotten weird looks when explaining it to others like Boyd did... "feeling around for pressure, then hip-snapping off of that..." even from very experienced boaters. Not sure where I heard it first but feeling around for "purchase" on the blade is what I was told, and that comment really unlocked the idea for me. I feel like we're all just struggling to understand what all of this sh*t means until someone or some event "unlocks" it for us... Keep it up! Loving the content and I'm learning a lot!
Great series. When people like Boyd give tips, I listen. Really liked how he explained the feeling for Pressure in current before the hip snap. my son is in high school and very athletic. I started him in a creek boat and it’s probably holding him back. He’s begging me for a full slice or play boat now…
Such great information Boyd literally what I tell every beginner that is looking for a boat and what their goal is for paddling and great talk on the quadrants of the boat and different ways of using each of those parts and what skills you need to learn before you start running bigger more difficult rivers
