Not really, I mean of he adds motivation to conquer then your personal roleplay is out the window. Come up with your own reasoning for being a conqueror.

@@TubbyNumpkins although I wouldn't mind a decline in difficulty because for some reason I'll use like a damage level of 40 type sword and they'll take so many hits. They're very spongy so I wouldn't mind a decline in difficulty, but maybe that's just me

In the comments of other videos on the Conquest of Skyrim Mod - specifically "Making Peace with the Empire" - I read some interesting ideas that relate to this. One comment, by a commenter named P: "I’m impressed how many negotiation options there are. One thing that could be included is making marriage deals. Eg they will let you have a city so long as you or one of you seconds in command agree to marry an heir to that city. Perhaps this could go along with taking children as foster hostages, like in real history. A losing clan would have to ..." This addition would provide a great level of depth to the peace negotiations and historical accuracy - for immersion, etc. - in Conquest of Skyrim. Another commentator idea - again by P: "One thing that should be included is opposing factions sending assassins" This would, again, provide further depth, and would introduce intrigue into the mod. It would be great if the player, and his opponents, could send assassins, thieves, saboteurs, and even, possibly, establish counter-intelligence spies, etc.

Yes and no. You can either finish the civil war before starting or conquer skyrim without participating in the civil war.

​@@TubbyNumpkins I think this needs a bit more looking at + made officially part of the rules of the mod to help prevent incompatibilities / strange stuff occurring if players try to do things that are outside the scope of the mod. These could be the options (or more, if the author wants to make things a bit more complicated than what I've suggested, with more pros / cons to starting the conquest under different circumstances): 1. *BLOCKED* - You cannot yet start your conquest of Skyrim as you have either: - Already started the Civil War questline by joining either the Imperials / Stormcloaks. Come back after you have completed the Civil War questline. - Gone beyond a point of the main questline the author deems is a reasonable point where you cannot yet start your conquest of Skyrim. Come back after you have completed the main questline. 2. *HARD* - Start your conquest of Skyrim without joining and completing the Civil War questline OR completing the main questline: - More Dragon Attacks: You have to deal with dragon attacks on your troops / resources frequently. (WARNING: If you start your conquest of Skyrim now, you will not be able to complete the main questline beyond _whatever quest the author deems is a reasonable point where you cannot progress further with the main quest_ until you have conquered all of Skyrim) - Stronger Imperials / Stormcloaks: Their ability to fight is not diminished as the Civil War had not truly begun yet; their armies are at their peak. (WARNING: If you start your conquest of Skyrim now, you will not be able to start the Civil War questline). 3. *MEDIUM* - Start your conquest of Skyrim without completing the Civil War questline: - Fewer Dragon Attacks: Dragon attacks are far less frequent on manpower / resources. - Stronger Imperials / Stormcloaks: Their ability to fight is not diminished as the Civil War had not truly begun yet; their armies are at their peak. (WARNING: If you start your conquest of Skyrim now, you will not be able to start the Civil War questline). 4. *MEDIUM* - Start your conquest of Skyrim without completing the main quest: - More Dragon Attacks: You have to deal with dragon attacks on your troops / resources frequently. @@BenPrattJin He does seem receptive to ideas if you'd like to pitch this to him, but he seems to like things being more open to the players and almost entirely unrestrictive.

Unfortunately that requires SKSE so you can't do that on consoles

I've got a few "the nights of the nine" "knights of the 8" (for roleplay) "The mythic Dawn" "The new dragon empire" "The kingdom of bandits" and then probably just a simple one like "the empire of Skyrim" and maybe like "the better" and then faction X's name like "the better for sworn" just because that might be funny
