I bet Rumple's line about returning Robin Hood's heart when Pan's shadow wasn't watching could be aimed at the audience. It happened off screen so in a way, we're Pan's shadow and we got distracted by other scenes.
Imagine if rumple's family would have come together as dark family or an evil family, The Dark one, Peter pan and the black fairy... They three together would have been unstoppable

How are all of you so happy?!?! This scene literally broke my heart into a million pieces and I think that if Cora and Rumple could get their happy endings than so could Pan.
@@bigal2748 he didn't though. All other villains were given so many chances and he wasn't. He also kept telling rumple he wants to change and try again but rumple killed him, twice.
In this scene, Rumple repeats his last line to Pan "Villains don't get happy endings", and here, its emotion is different than from the first time that he killed him. Personally, I liked it more the first time. The first time, the death had so much more impact. To stop Pan from taking over the town, he sacrifices himself, turns Pan back into his older self, admits to his son and Belle about his true feelings, and it's more than just the metaphorical backstabbing we see here (but a literal one lol). His father even attempts to bargain for his own life by offering the chance for them to be a family, but Rumple knows, "I'm a villain, and villains don't get happy endings." The fact that he repeated the line a second time kinda takes away its emotional impact imo. Pan's death was a little shocking, but for him to turn into dust while still in his younger form, it's like we forget that he's a grown man in a child's form, and we were just here to see Robbie Kay rather. Rumplestiltskin double-crossed someone? That's totally unexpected wow. As much as I love Rumple and Pan's performances in this show, bringing both of them back to life just to have them repeat the same sort of things all over again, it's disappointing. "Villains don't get happy endings, and I need to make sure that you don't get yours."
That always annoys me when time is of the essence they stop to have a moment even though the portal has been open for quite some time which means it's not going to stay open much longer and the smart thing to do would be to get through the portal as quickly as possible especially if it's been opened for quite a length of time already but no they just have to have a moment. This is like in the Matrix when Neo & Trinity stop to have a chat instead of using the phone to escape before the agents find them but no they had to have their chat, a chat they could have had in the real world but because they foolishly had their chat in the Matrix while agents were after them Agent Smith found them before Neo could escape.
I literally cried twice at this scene! Pan is my favorite OUAT character, and even if he did some bad shit it can't be that bad compared to Rumple, Regina, or Cora
@@TTUploads Exactly. Pan is different from Rumple and Regina and even Cora, because he doesn't love anyone. Not even himself, really. The closest he comes to loving anyone is that kid whose heart he uses for his curse. And even that wasn't really love! That makes him a TRUE villain, completely irredeemable.
Pan would have only caused further trouble. He had centuries of torturing young boys with his twisted games, kidnapping them from their families and holding them prisoner. He wouldn't have stopped until he destroyed Belle and the baby. Even now, he wanted to live at the expense of an innocent. Rumpel's solution was brilliant.
1:02 Rumple's new line "Because I'm the pink naked squirming little larva that wanted to eat your dreams and never stop............and now you'll finally be free of me." That would have been so awesome!
@@sdm47 he regreted but never changed. only in the end bc of his true love. Pan had Fiona as true love and she left so he never got the chance to meet another love and actually change.

Sorry I misread what you were saying Yes it took Rumple a dickload of time to change but like I said magic is basically an addiction in the once upon a time mythos Rumple died for good twice Pan never did a damn thing for good hell he probably can’t even spell good Rumple, Regina, Zelena and to a lesser extent Maleficent all changed (despite how out of nowhere maleficents change was I mean did we ever get a reason for maleficent converting to good but that’s not important right now) and they all got their happy ending/continuation You know why? Because they fucking tried name one moment where peter did anything that wasn’t either a dick move or completely evil hell name one instance where he even remotely gave a shit about anyone other than himself No Felix doesn’t count he didn’t love Felix because he was a good friend he loved Felix because he was a loyal slave Pan fails on all accounts and there’s no room for light anywhere in his heart nor would he ever have made any but Rumple was the opposite of that

I hated this not because I like Pan, though he was a great villain- I'm a bit disappointed he had to go out this way. We literally just watched him appear on screen and now he's gone again damn- He could have redeemed himself. Rumple is one of my favorite characters, but damn dude.. that was a bit cruel.
Every one says he deserved it and it’s kinda true. But rlly so does Rumple, Cora, Selena and other villains. Like they also tried to kill the main characters but they were given chances because they had some one to change for. Like Belle gave Mr Gold wayyyy too many chances and he broke he heart but she just came back to him. I like Rumple but not Mr Gold, Rumple is cool. Plus an another note, I wish before they changed everything they included the princess and the frog story with the Shadow voodoo man, he would’ve been an amazing villain and would’ve added some diversity to it.
I always so mad at this, Pan was my favorite character. And I just can’t see why he deserved to die, yes he kidnapped people and all this stuff but there have villains much worse have done extremely bad things, and got their happy ending, Pan did a few bad things and was sent to internal suffering.

Idk Idc He was already over 300 and showed no signs of remorse. Regina loved her son. Pan didn’t love his. He was also going to kill both his grandson and his great-grandson. The Evil Queen was vile, but Pan is in a whole other league.
Idk Idc I agree he’s a great character, he’s my fave villain. And the reason why is because he’s so deliciously evil. I hate a show where too many of the Villains have sobby backstories. Ultimately I agree with you, but I’m coming from a different angle.
I honestly feel bad for Rumple. First, he lost Baelfire/Neal, then he had to kill his father and sent him to the river of souls, then he had to kill his mother and then he lost Belle. He nearly lost his entire family
The worse villains on this show is Cora, Fiona, Peter, and Regina but the absolute worse is Fiona she left it impossible for her son to change no matter how hard he tried to because of what she took from him.
Rumple knew Pan too well after all pain & suffering he put him through. He did right thing sending him to Worse Place as punishment for what Pan wrought
@@maariyahshamsi7061 I've always assumed it's because he genuinely doesn't want to change. Even in the Underworld arc, you can tell that he still doesn't actually care about Rumple. Compared to other villains like Regina or Cora, Peter's never regretted anything he's done.

Just one point if the blue fairy have not banished the black fairy then the time line would be different. No dark one , no evil queen , no queen of hearts , no Peter Pan, no wicked witch , no snow queen . My point they would have become all heroes ever tho Regina and zelene became heroes . No dark curse . Neal would still be alive . Maybe rumple would have become the light one instead of the dark one . My point again ALL BLUE FARILY Fault.
@@huntermay9952 no. Fiona had already severed rumple's fate with the shears of destiny. So there's nothing left TO save. Since he is not the savior anymore. Blue banished her because she would be looking for the NEW savior. Remember she kept her powers over her son's fate.
