he's been through so much. yet he still managed to be himself and not turn dark. he gets so little credit for how strong his character is. always living in steve rogers' shadow.

I just noticed how amazing it is that they were able to work how he works solo into his fighting style. For instance, he's not used to working with or around people or using their advantages or talents, it's a foreign concept at this point, so not only does he do things without asking or communicating, but he uses you as a weapon or moves you in a way that completely destabilizes and incapacitates you because he doesn't know how to not. He doesn't know how to fight with someone or get someone somewhere and do something when they aren't an enemy. He doesn't know how to fight with someone whose health also matters.

It’s crazy to think that the first thing he ever did with his prosthetic arm was injure/possibly kill someone. Granted they were HYDRA, but still your first instinct after waking up from surgery (and having safely removed a damaged appendage and gain a high-tech replacement) is generally not strangle the nearest person. But who knows what was going on in his head at the time, for all we know they didn’t put him under good/working anesthesia, so he probably picked up bits of conversation going on during the whole thing and pieced together what was and was going to happen to him.

This elicited emotions in me even though I've never seen any movies with Captain America in marvel ever, really. Great job!
