rice cookers are easy because for a cup of rice you can measure the amount of water with either your hand (you put your palm face down on the rice and the water should reach half the back of your hand) or you can use the 1 (rice) : 1&1/2 (water) ratio. rice cookers can also cook other things besides rice.

Idk either, most Indian moms cook rice in the primitive way.... I've never used a rice cooker in my life.💀💀😂😂 Also, fun fact, that rice cooker which BTS uses was gifted to them by an ARMY back in 2014 or so, it's amazing how they still have it and use it well.🤭😄💜
I stil cook rice in a pot and it works fine. Clean the rice one cup would be enough for one person. rinse it about 3 times, measure water with youre finger. Put it on high fire until it boiles turn the fire down and Cook until dry done. It is not that dificult. Sometimes i ad a bit of milk to prefent it from sticking to the pot and it gives a creamy flavor to it. Cooking rice with chicken broth or beef broth is nice to.
If you will cook rice as often as Asians do, get a rice cooker. If you want the option to cook rice, but make more than just rice and don't have loads of counter space, get a small instant pot electric pressure cooker- you can make rice in it, and there's a whole bunch of other stuff you can make using that. They have 3,6 and 8quart sizes so you can choose what would fit your needs best. (3quart if you are only cooking for you, 6 if you want leftovers you can reheat, 8 if cooking for loads of people).
rice cookers are very easy you put in the rice measure the water (the kind of rice you use makes a bit of difference on the amount of water...I use calrose rice mostly it calls on the package for 1 cup rice to 1.5 cups water and in a pot that is what you need but in a rice cooker I find you need a little less and usually end up using 1.25 cups water to 1 cup rice...rinse the rice a few times in water first before adding the measured amoutn) then you just push the on button and wait it turns itself to warm when it is done. You can add a little salt to the rice if you want or you can add other things too but I would start with plain rice the first couple times until you get used to it.
rice cooker comes with a measuring cup and the pot has numbered water level. The number of cups of rice you put will be the same number of water level to fill... Then press button to cook. It will alarm or signal once it is done cooking. Then it will change to warm mode, so rice don't burn.
Cooking rice like that is easier man.. its like you have to rinse the rice and then put the rice in those, dont forget to add water and finish. You just have to wait like 15-20 minutes till its ready tk serve
i'm indian and even tho we don't make sticky rice for our food, my family doesn't really use rice cookers anymore. you could literally make rice with any pot that has a lid and it's pretty simple. i've literally been making it since i was like 10 so i can assure you it's very easy. but idk if the same process works for sticky rice as well.
My partner refuses to use our rice cooker, he's a firm believer in doing it the old fashioned way in a pot on the stove. I could never go back to that after using a rice cooker for the first time. Basically you wanna use just enough water to cover the rice, put the lid on, press the button and it's done. Mine (and I think most) goes to warm once the rice is cooked, so I never have to worry about it overcooking or burning if I forget about it

Rice cookers is really easy, you just measure water and rice and close it and start it and get perfect rice, doesn't burn and don't need to be watched, if you eat rice a lot it is definitely a good thing to have. Says I who can eat rice 3 times a day, bought 3 different kinds of rice, 11kg in total last time I bought food and don't have a rice cooker 😂 but I should have one.
9:32 to use a rice cooker you need to have a certain amount of water with the rice and put it in the machine that includes the pot and cook it, dont know if that makes sense but yeah..its super easy and convenient.
For me, 2021 was the worst year of my life. My grandma died in March, my dad died in August, and my husband’s grandmother died in late September or early October. It really was just a horrible year.
