He called them punks because they were punks. They ruined the show. It should have been a good time and they ruined it. People probably lost a lot of money to boot.
the Hi Ho Mall (now Housatonic Community College) was sketchy as hell for the last 2 years or so of it's existence...garbage everywhere, including garbage overflowing out of the broken fountain, most stores were gone except for some nail salons and a couple of pager shops...Good times.
@@LITMOVIESCENES I was there for both, we had our issues, but the neighborhood was great. I lived in Marina Village and walked to that mall every day given that was right next to my school Roosevelt. I was 7 years old.
I was 8 years old and there when this happened. My mom felt something was going to happen. She kept us to the back next to the exit. We ran out of there and across the street to the library.
Sad that this mall doesn't technically exist anymore. Wish I could have gone to that mall. But if was still open, without a doubt it would be sketchy as hell.
I got Mr T's autograph in the same mall. I threw it away because I couldn't read it. I think he just scribbled some shit so he could get away from the hectic crowd.

Tody Moffett (Democrat by the way) took a jab at them and they deserved it. He was calling them uncivilized and the insult hit the mark. I saw plenty of white kids (probably the majority) in there so the punks were not all Black. In any event, he was making light of the situation.
