This is an amazing program. And its relatively low budget. For 30 bucks you can just buy the bands. I am a Semi-Pro football player alternating from WR to CB and I can personally say that there has been HUGE improvements. I promise you that you will not regret getting this. I ran a 40 in 4.5 when I was 21, ten years later, I ran a hand timed 40 in 5.1. I did the program casually for 5 weeks and Im running a 4.6. With more dedication, I honestly believe I'll be faster than I ever was. I workout in the gym and I get weird looks but screw them. Once it gets warm I can go outside. It's also important that I'm doing a pretty heavy leg lifting regimen. Best thing I've bought athletically probably ever.
The main reason is simply the length of bands. Often times athletes who are under 110 pounds have smaller hip widths and require less length to the resistance bands to receive the right amount of resistance while training. The bands that come with kbands over 110 pounds are longer for larger athletes.
You will want to follow the time descriptions in the video. These will be best for developing speed. If you are looking for football drills go to our website KbandsTraining . com and look under the training section in the header. There you will find football. There are all kinds of free workouts there for you as well to use.
The bands will help develop your hip flexors and glutes. Using the bands will build muscle and recruit more muscle fibers during every rep. The un-resisted reps to follow allows your body to work out in a window of complete muscle stimulations for optimized results.
im 28 years old and my gains arent what they used to be when i was 21.. i stopped track and field at age 21. i was doinng a 100m in 10.91sec as a PB.. 6 years later i started training again to lose some weight and get in shape, i liked it so much i started sprinting again and after 6 months of hard work i did the 100m in 12.01 sec. after another 6 months of training and losing weight (86kg to 82 kg) i ran another 100m and this time i ran 11.93, only 0.08 sec faster.. i mean i know i dont gain as fast as when your young at the age of 28 because 28 is almost old in sports haha but only 0.08 was a dissapointment. so then i saw these kind of videos with bands training and i thought why i never used these or my trainer in that time so i bought some resistance bands and started training with these next to my normal traiining schedual. after 3 months of doing exercises with these bands my time went down a lot.. i did the 100m now in 11.76sec and my start was very bad. and i feel im getting faster every day now.. my goal was hitting the 11.6 mark because to go under 11 at my age is onlogical but i think with some extra hard work and keep these kind of exercises going i should be able to hit 11.3 or a little under..
Daniel B. How are you now? I run 11.4 without training but I'm a young highschooler so my body is young and agile, think these will drop mine below 10?
cash johnson first double check to see if you have them on properly. Next, you may want to wear sliding shorts under the leg straps to limit any touching of the skin.
+Isaiah Duncan This is a great drill to help increase your speed. Take a look at our website KbandsTraining .com we have tons of free videos that are broken down by sport.
its hard to explain like the tensor fascia latae area if that helps sorry im horrible at muscles parts. i might be referring to glutes . but what areas should i feel in these workouts?
Activation occurs in the glutes (butt) hip flexors (front of hip). You are also going to feel it in your quads and hamstrings. Normally you will feel more burn in the area where you are weakest.
You can see results as little as 2-3 weeks but we always suggest completing a 5 week speed training program before your post test. Go to the My Plan section on KbandsTraining . com and you will see a couple programs you can use. As for the weight I would not suggest this. You will want to become more explosive. Weight can slow you down and added to kbands will be to much.
It's all about muscle recruitment. When you complete sets resisted you build strength through your hips and glutes. These large muscle groups have a major impact on running speed. Each muscle fiber will begin firing when the sets begin. As you come to the unresisted sets your body then has recruited many more muscle fibers than it would normally use for the specific exercise leaving your legs feeling like feather. This has a large neurological impact on your body and will help build speed.
That's great. Don't forget to use some of the training programs on the My Plan section linked at the top of KbandsTraining . com. There are also a bunch of soccer drills you can use under the training tab.
This drill focuses on hip flexor strength and speed off the ground. Short burst sets allows muscle development for weaker athletes to be able to maintain a strong upright position. Often times weak hips cause many problems for sprinters.
I would suggest grabbing them from our training website KbandsTraining . com. When you purchase them through our website you will receive Speed 101 as one of your free training programs. Amazon and ebay does not allow us to deliver downloads such as this through their platform.
These leg resistance bands are called kbands and can by purchased on our training website KbandsTraining . com. We sell them exclusively on our website. You will find hundreds more drills there as well for you to utilize.
Definitely. This drill can help athletes of any sport become more powerful. For a list of football drills and videos go to my training website and look under the training tab. There you will see football. Head to the drills and videos link and you will have a list of about 15 drills to use for football as well. Go to KbandsTraining . com
I would not suggest tying resistance bands around your thighs. You can restrict blood flow and cause some serious problems. Go to KbandsTraining . com and click the products tab. View all the products and you will see leg straps you can purchase.
You should always warm up before doing a high intensity exercise. Cold muscles will not perform as well warm muscles. Head to the site there are several warm up routines on the site.
I would suggest first cutting the sets down by one or two for both of the exercises at first to be sure that your body is ready for the load. If you are in good shape yes do them on the same day but give yourself 5 or ten minutes between exercises so that you can maintain your explosiveness.
This is great for any athlete looking to build their hip flexors. Kickers need as much hip flexor strength as they can build. So the answer is yes most definitely.
I just got Kbands for Christmas. I'm a running back and linebacker and I'm running a 4.6 40, what program do you have that will help me get down to a 4.4 40?
I would begin with Speed 101. You can also add days of our program called Cone Drill FX and 1-2-3 Reaction Pro. Here is a link to them. kbandstraining.com/my-plan-athlete-performance-video-trainer/
Before anybody else asks, these would work for your baseball, basketball, soccer, football, track, volleyball, handball, ultimate frisbee, or whatever else you do; it may not be tailored to your sport, but being fast and explosive will help you no matter what sport you play.
i did 3 set resistance of the 1st drill and 2 resistance of the second one and the last set unresistance, or do i have to follow the way you showed on the video ?
Well, you mention that if you're over 110, you should use the blue/green bands. If I'm under 110, what are problems with using the bands intended for higher weights?
Can these be used to add resistance to walking. I am not an advanced athlete. Looking to bump heart rate up to 140-150 bpm. Right now even with brisk walking it takes me an hour to get the heart rate up to 120 bpm.
Okay quick question. I was just training with my kbands that I have had prob over a year, and the green band that straps to the back snapped in half when i was doing a simple speed drill! I was wondering if their is any kind of warranty for this? I can show pictures through email if that would even help? But that being said I have never had a problem with them
Can be great to help build your hip flexors. Might work so of the core training I have in a program called Speed 101 in as well. Here is link for you. kbandstraining.com/speed-training-program-speed-101/
Be sure you cut the straps to fit your legs tightly. Also Pull the inside part of the strap first to ensure a tight fit. Check out this video. kbandstraining.com/howtoputonkbands/
One serious question, i want to start doing this, but can you tell me, for how much months i can see results? And after this workout, can i go to run outside for a cardio 30-45 minutes?
