The main real street gangs in Aus are bikies, probably second only to the States and NZ in terms of how much they're influential. Sometimes bikie recruitment is on ethnic lines - Comancheros have a lot of Lebanese Shia for example- but not always. Got Rebels, Finks, Comancheros, Hells Angels and a bunch more 1%ers. There was a golden age for Asian gangs like 5T (Vietnamese) a few decades ago but that's died down. I don't know about Aus but New Zealand is heavily influenced by West Coast and Midwest Hip Hop it comes from Polynesian communities in East Palo alto, Carson City and Long Beach.
