The Washington Family is Black Royalty to me! I love the way Denzel has always given credit to his wife Pauletta and his Mom for helping him become and continue to be an Excellent Black Man.
Mr. Washington has been one of the lead Actors since the movie industry destroyed the block buster hits of the 70's.(Black Fims). He's one of the few that set the tone for other that came after Him.

Don't you agree that Denzel Washington is an exceptional actor and a very very wise man, someone EVERYONE can learn an awful lot from? I personally agree with that.
It still staggers me that a Hollywood producer in the 21st Century thinks movies with a black lead, like Denzel Washington wouldn't sell abroad!!!-has he actually travelled outside of The US of A?, the majority of The World beyond the USA is of colour!!; we in Africa not only know of Denzel Washington but we admire and respect him, same goes for Morgan Freeman. If the producer is any indication of the quality of producers/writers in Hollywood today then clearly there is a systemic propensity to discriminate against black actors. So instead of preaching to The World by force feeding us pro-LGBTQ movies that are culturally unacceptable to us, what about investing in stories/movies that truly have broader appeal and reflect us-The World?.
Jaime Fox talked about.,(even in front of Denzel)when he was a no name and playing the clubs. He saw Denzel across the road,ran over to him and tried to give him a hand shake and a hug and Denzel did a judo stance in front of him. Now look at Jaime... An academy award winner for best actor too. .
Terrance Howard has a problem having audiences seeing Black men performing as females, but not with them seeing the depiction of a Black father stuffing his son into a trash can? Why is it necessary to tell of such an inhumane act as graphically as that? What is hindsight supposed to do for us? Today we have Black intellectuals and activist metal health professionals saying that we are negatively impacted by trauma passed down through our genes, but say little about the everyday real-time trauma we are subjected to daily by the high rate of violent crime among us. What are we to make of the concept of trauma being triggered, when we spend so much time watching and listening to violent acts and ideas? Can we be both resilient, as many of us say we are as a people, and traumatized at the same time? How do the two jibe? What does it look like in our everyday living, while we are supposed to be affirming to ourselves and the world, that our lives matter?
