El-P did the beat for this one, Preem just added his Flava with the scratches! RTJ is so underrated! "Oh My Darling/Dont Cry", "Blockbuster Night pt1", "Hey Kids (Bumaye)", "Close Your Eyes and Count to F@ck", are all BANGERS! Everything they touch is better than 99% of whats out today!
I'm most happy about Run the JEwels because now people are respecting how dope a producer El-P is, I feel he is the greatest hiphop producer of alltime. Now that he is making more accessible beats for people thru Run the jewels, people are going back and listening to his solo stuff, Company Flow and all the Def Jux stuff. like looking up Mr. Lifs album he did and seeing all the new comments about the beats on that album and Cannibal Ox, which to me are two of the dopest produced albums in history
Cannibal Ox - The Cold Vein one of the best albums of all time. Criminally slept on. Try Iron Galaxy or Atom, but any track will do, its start to finish perfection
Damn bro. You caught all of these. Ooh La La was from the Gang Starr song featuring Nice n Smooth, DWYCK. “ piece to Red Alert and Kif Capri. Ooh La La ah oui oui.” I can’t believe I just found your channel. Subscribed on this one.
Matee alot of people miss EL-Ps bars an just gloss over him Nothing better than someone pulling shit back for us an helping us appreciate the song. Great reaction
Mann... I don't know if you've heard this before, but you sound a lot like Killer Mike when you talk lol. Love your reactions! I finally subscribed to your page. Idk why I hadn't in the beginning been following you page for a lil while.
Run the Jewels always pays homage in alot of their songs, i think Greg Nice and Primo was just to avoid issues with sample clearence and to show love. Also Primo didnt produce the song, just the scratches, EL-P produces every RTJ song.
I dig your reactions, you digging into those verses and talking about connections. Much better than most channels. Keep that passion. Can we see you try your hand at an older Aesop Rock track like Battery?
Man, if you want some heavy shit, listen to Thieves off of RTJ3. It was the perfect song for the BLM marches that were happening last year and it came out in 2016 I believe. Each guy gets 2 sections and raps each one in a different style. Like anything RTJ does, it goes HARD.
