@@hawk4192 hm.. i do. Its not the song. You may cover songs to Transport it to another genre or even make it better.. But how do you make that shit better in any way? Naa.. sorry. I disagree
@@sebastianludwig9227 you misunderstand. I agreed with you about the tone change. While I don't think this version is in any way superior, the cover itself is well done.
So much emotion, a real song of genoside and sorrow. I have family who are residential school survivors, Bruce was ahead of the game when he made this.
Sorry what?? Next level?? The original is way better, especially the vocals, especially in terms of 'strength'! This is Iron Maiden we are talking about.. she does a good job, but this is not even closely as good as the original🤣
It always amazes me how some of the best covers on RU-vid have the least amount of views, and seems all but lost to the masses. This rendition gives me chills every time I hear it, and while the singing is next level, the piano player made it all work so well. Great job to all involved.
im an iron maiden fan and i adore this version. Its a different way to sing it and she has done a good job of it, its a cover for a reason, the artists impression of another song so it is going to be different. Well done love.
Very cool! I am an Iron Maiden fan- I don't care how differently a song is covered if it is done well. And this was a great twist on 1 of my old faves and very well performed!
as someone who has been a Maiden fan for over 40yrs, I have to say you really brought emotion to the song. well done on hitting the high notes as well, most cant keep up with Bruce.
Puts a completely different feeling to this song. Like a Broadway Play. Cant beat the original but this tops any cover I have ever heard, not only of this song, but may be one of the best interpretations of a classic song I have ever heard heard, period. Her voice is supreme! pretty amazing even for the most avid Maiden fan.
I *highly* prefer this kind of cover, where the artist takes the song and make it his (or her, in that case) instead of just sticking a random vocal without changing either the rythm and the instrumentation of the song. And I say that while being a metalhead and adoring Iron Maiden. I can recognize artistic creation when I see it. Cover goes both ways, I saw tamer songs changed in brutal stuff (like Slayer's cover of Born to be Wild, or Stormlord's cover of Moonchild) and it's nice to see the opposite too.
Kednavikit I agree but that is not a cover, it's an arrangement and you gotta differ. I think covers are meant to be an interpretation of one person over a song and an arrangement goes beyond that, while interpretating, making the song a bit their own
ok.. stumbled across this.... clearly by accident... BUT.. that in no way means that was a bad thing.... this is AMAZING.... i never thought of this song as a ballad.. but .. the lyrics translate well into its new location... mucho kudos!!!!!
Beautiful! This is exactly what a cover is supposed to be! Not an exact copy of the original song, but a personal touch and re imagining of it. Perfect.
You can copy and paste the URL for this song into one of those websites that turn RU-vid video's into MP3's. Once you have that...do with the MP3 as you will.
Trying to mimic Bruce Dickinson, is almost impossible. I haven't ever sang his music with his thrust, so I'd lower my tones and beats to get my voice to match where I wanted it to go. Severl times I have sounded this a way... \\\m/// - UP THE IRONS
This is a great piece of (cover)music. No need for hateing. There are enough soft and slow songs out there that were made into brutal metal. It works both ways. And this piece here... i dont know... there should somehow made a disneymovie around it. oldschool with pen and paper, not 3dcg. ^^
But still, some song.... just, don't work. This sounds really beautiful, as long as you don't listen to the lyrics. A song about murder, slavery and rape shouldn't really be... soft. In my opinion that is. XD It doens't really work both ways in my opinion. XD A black metal song about love? XD
blah blah blah anyone who dislikes this has no musical ear by fk girl you blew the wax outta ma ears when god gave out voices you were deffo at the front would love to hear more of your stuff and ps mr piano man you did good to
