When you first connected the charger, was your 120v connection from the CoolCamp plugged in? Because when you went outside to connect the leads to the battery the 120v was NOT plugged in, so unless you unplugged the 12v connection to the trailer before you did that part of the clip I have no idea where you were getting power to enable the inverter charger unit. In general, I have to say that you are REALLY good. Everything you do is just so RIGHT. Little things like putting blocks under your clamps so you don't make impressions in the wood, using wire loom to bunch your cables instead of just zip ties.... every little detail you just do RIGHT. Mad skills.
Another great video. A couple of tips from experience with camper battery boxes, you may want to drill a small hole in the bottom to drain water and strap the lid down tight. I have lost a battery box lid on the road before.
Excellent work! I will be purchasing a Runaway camper in the fall and I am really enjoying your videos. My only suggestion is to place a catastrophic fuse between your battery and your charger. This would stop a high current draw and possibly a fire if something went wrong. Keep up the good work
I need to get me a TV installed I have a tv but it has to be on a table, I have a bench in the camper that takes too much space. What I need to do is minimal but I sleep in it just the same. Found if I keep things I can slide on it works out better. Want to get a bench to sit on that rolls that way I could slide around in there just fine. Thing with the camper is you find yourself wanting to store stuff in the camper and this is counter productive. IDK why we do what we do people take too much stuff? I don't know how to stop doing what I do.
How long can you run the fan using just the battery generally? Also, what gauge wire goes from your inverter to the positive lead on your fuse block? Looking at the powermax website, it looks like those are just outputs. If you are running just off the battery, how is the fuse panel getting powered? Is it just drawing off the leads that go to the battery since they are crimped together going into the inverter? Awesome videos, keep it up! Is helping me decide what direction to go!
i would have left extra wire so if things change up with the next battery you won't be looking to extend the wires you have now. and by the look of thing's it would be easy for you to make a cover for that inverter . good vid though. now you need some solar
