When in a Runaway Camper, to avoid condensation, try using a sunroof vent visor. It will help with providing more ventilation for a comfortable night sleep.
I was just watching another video with a review of lots of Runaway camper owners and the modifications they had made to their units. One of them had those covers on their windows and they attached them with screws and a sealing compound and then caulked around the edge to seal it for sure. The reason they did that was - they installed their FIRST set of covers just like you did and they ended up coming off while motoring down the highway. It seems quite a few people have had that same experience. You may want to secure those a little better 😉🙂 Just sayin’ 🙂 Happy travels 👵🏻💕🐾
I'm going to this when I get my Runaway - I did see another guy on RU-vid who did this and he said that he ended up having to put a few screws in to hold the cover on because the tape didn't quite hold enough.
Brilliant. Love your video on the camper. We live about an hour from Runaway Camper and plan on taking a ride over to look at the models. Yours looks to be exactly what I am looking for too. Which model is it?
Nice little touch. Yeah. You'd think people wouldn't need to be told to crack a window, but I've known people who smoked in their cars with the windows rolled up. I always have a window cracked, at home or on the road.
what about winter..i have a runaway camper but even with window slightly open running a little heater in the cold created sot of condensation on back wall and windows
I don’t get the window covers so many have... rain comes in the side... I’ve a roof vent covered by rain dome... I leave roof vent open ALL the time, even in torrential downpours, w/ no wetness inside. The vent , when powered can blow in or suck out.... I norm just have it unpowered... works fine. It IS interesting to see all other folks’ ideas !
One of your videos I forget which one I noticed that you had a CB radio mounted inside your runaway. I was wondering how did you install and grounded the cb antenna?
Thanks! Planning to buy the Cool Camp, and the only other rain guard addition I saw was using a car window one… so the person had to heat -straighten it to take the curve out! So now I know I can order a sunroof style one, and no-drill at that! Curious: now that this video is 5 years old, how well did the adhesive hold up?
Thanks for watching, they are still holding strong. The tape that they use is the same that they use on automotive trim. Very strong, just be sure to clean the area with alcohol first.
Thank you for the tip. Plan to buy my camper very soon and would be my first one. I can if you have the info for the cover you used? Also I am thinking about getting a back window for the Rouser camper. Do you have a size cover for that window as well. Believe the size was 20 by 30. Thank you! Jessica 🙂
Thanks for watching, and enjoy your Runaway, they’re great. For the visors, I use the ones that are meant for a sunroof. Just measure your windows, and order one a couple of inches larger. They do really help.
@@Hatch61 Thank you for responding back to me and will keep that in mind when ordering. Can't wait to be able to buy my Runaway! Have a good night 🙂 Jess
how does a visor have anything to do with the condensation issue because i have a runaway and if u want to sleep in it when its really cold u will have to open both windows and when u turn the little heater on it will just make more condensation or defeat the purpose of one if not both heat or air
Thanks for watching, the visors work just as they do for your car. When it is raining, it allows you to keep the windows open without water coming in the window. I've had my Runaway for three years now, and have not had condensation issues, both while using the AC or heat.
Great alternate use of a visor.....but it won't keep you dry. When you open your windows the opening goes from top to bottom. So you're only protection you have is the top three inches. Nice try though
Thanks for watching, they work well as long as it is not too windy. If the rain is coming straight down, I am able to leave the windows fully open with no issues.
Condensation tip: Get 3 degrees so you can afford a $20 k camper with a dehumidifier/air conditioner that weighs more than the camper and cover it up when you make RU-vid videos of it.
