That will be a heck of a deal for someone! Probably one of the best modified Runaway Camper I have seen, and it is all Video Documented. Used Runaways have a good resale and don't stay on the market long.
I think switching to 100% composites in 2020 made them more competitive. They're made in Florida, for the southeast, so they come with air conditioner and that's about it. Pretty nice mods and basic accessories. He's pretty proud of his DIY inverter install. I wonder what's wrong with the batteries. People swear by the lithium batteries. I don't like what they do to the land. I thought a marine battery would be perfect for a small RV.
Sorry to see you sell the Runaway after all the work you put into it. Your videos helped me decide on the XL as my Impala has only a 1,000 lb towing limit. Picked mine up in March and spent about six nights in it on the way back to NM. Just got back from a week in CO. I'm loving it! For all those interested and didn't get to buy Kevin's, I do recommend you check out runawaycampers.com. It's a easy, stable tow even in a stiff crosswind.
I really enjoyed watching this series. I can tell prospective buyers that this thing is quality and a GREAT price. Kevin didn't mention this but he also installed easy lube fittings on the wheels. If you are near PA and in the market, JUMP on this.
I find it confusing when people say things like 35 hundred, because I never know if they mean, 3,500 ; or 35,000; and there's a BIG HUGE difference when there's an extra zero.
Man that's exactly what I was looking for I would jump on that that camper right there in a second and I got more than enough money to do it basic enough that you can add your own touch to it but still just a little bit where are most of the living plumbing and electrical you got a price to sell and I guarantee you if this didn't go probably that day or the very next it was. Not there on the 3rd day again to you I'm thinking of be gone you know either the first day of the second for sure that's too good a price for two good product!
Kevin, thanks for these videos about the Runaway camper mods. We are currently trying to decide between the Runaway and the Hiker trailer and your vids are really helpful. One question, you mentioned in a earlier video that there's a sheet of plastic on the underside (also shown in the companies' video) . Did this plastic sheet ever tear? Is it protected in any way?
