I was actually part of this, I still to this day think Steve Irwin was one of the greatest men on the mainstream media, he was truly passionate about his work and really enjoyed getting to share that and teach others about wildlife
Steve Irwin is a true Australian hero.. Too bad his son Robert is just a show pony and wants to be in the spotlight all the time milking $ which is really sad to see.
@@jmel1000 Care to elaborate on how that makes him different from his father? Because without insider knowledge, they might have been the same with his father just having a better PR team.
@nate6045 Steve made millions and millions of dollars he turned his little parents zoo into something amazing on top of that he said he will take all the millions and spend it on land for conservation and that's what he did with his money
My fucking God I remember this dude... I was maybe 8-9 years old, my best buddy Guy and I were RELIGIOUS RuneScape players, and we both loved Steve. He had heard about it through a friend on RS and we both geared up and went. Never ever in my life thought that this would come up, thank you for unlocking a long lost memory.
Speaking of God, however vulgar, He loves you more than you can imagine. There's prayers in heaven and earth every day for you to come to know the Lord all you have to do is humble yourself and ask Him for forgiveness and you'll have an encounter with the Most High Living God Jesus Christ of Nazareth.
@@Randy-nm2ru I've met your God and he thinks you're a fool... Stop blindly following what man tells you and search for answers personally. The Lord laughs at the Bible, he laughs at the Christians and the Muslims and the Jews, because every single one of you have already failed his tests. Funny how every single religion says to question, to find the real answers, and yet here you are, spouting words said by another man, rather than words said by God. If only you knew... If only...
As a Australian that grew up playing rs and watching Steve Irwin I never saw this in game and it pleases me knowing it happened lost a real one that day
The RuneScape community being around as long as it has allows it to produce some of the most wholesome gaming history moments ever. There’s few games where you see people who played together for over ten years finally meeting face to face. Things like that are just insanely special to me
Well, there are wholesome moments like this, and on the opposite end of the spectrum there's the Falador Massacre, which might be one of the most infamous exploiting incidents in gaming history.
I was there... I remember being in middle school gaming that night when I heard the news.. Then I saw them laiter. I grew up watching that man. We lost a real one.
when you get hit with the most massive flashback of your life. I REMEMBER THIS!! but not because i knew a bunch of players where doing it to pay respect at the time. but because im Australian and like 17/18 years ago when i bought my 1st rune scimmy, i was wondering why randoms where filling the chat with a bunch of generic Australian terms.
I remember I was there and a low level so a level 15 scorpion killed me and everyone everyone killed the scorpion so I rejoined the walk and we avoided the desert from there
Sad? Truly wonderful. Imagine if Steve knew. Imagine if they did the same for you. Truly wonderful. I love the RS community even almost 20 years later ❤
The RuneScape community is different ❤️ everything was done out of love never out of spite. There was some scammers along the way but those were just noobs trying to make a dime. When they changed it to rs3 a lot of people lost interest.
nah what you gotta understand is that there was no youtube or tiktok. You watched T.V. for your daily dose of brainrot, and television channels were like 95% boring bs. This guy was fun to watch and informative. Really did make me sad when he died
My man reduce your compression. It's narrowing your vocal range and creating a very bright high note on your words. It's like listening to your thru the tube of a paper towel roll
I was there!! So amazing when the community of an mmo come together and show love and respect and each and every one of them shines showing the world that the video games do have a purpose and not just what normies think video games are
This was legendary, i loved going on digital adventures with Steve Irwin as a kid. That man taught me a lot about wildlife and nature, not to mention how much he did to actually benefit it - not just talking about doing so like all these activists do now days.
Yesterday a man named Simon Cowell died from a long battle with cancer. He led a wildlife aid in the U.K that helped animals. He was on the same level as Steve Irwin. RIP Simon.
I wasn't actively playing at the time, or I probably would have participated as well. RIP Steve Irwin. Glad that his kids have followed on in his footsteps.
I miss steve. He was so beautiful. His words had a lot of wisdom. His love of animals was so pure. We lost one of the biggest driving factors towards animal preservation and safety.
Awesome I didn't know this but I've seen so many awesome memorable things and also was apart of different events similar in my 20 years playing rs. 6/6/2006 was the most popular and memorable rip fally
Does anyone remember when Michael Jackson died? I was on RuneScape at that time as a kid, and remember people dressing as him and going to the cemetery in Lumbridge to put flowers on his grave lol. 😂
It's really nice when MMO players do wholesome memorials for people, like in ff14 when Akira Toriyama died and a lot of players dressed as DBZ characters or wore the slime hat
Fun runescape fact, i was one of those players. I heard about it from a friend, who heard from a friend etc. It had originated from a small group of school friends if i remember right
I'm Aussie and actually didn't know this, I believe I was in school the day he died. This is cool though, respect to them, steve will always be part of our culture.
i would have been there had i of known! in school when you got asked that dumbass question whos your hero? that dude. literally told my mom at 11 years old if i was ever dying i wanna see steve Erwin.
When micheal jackson died. A bunch of random guys from diablo 2 all made characters together named after his songs. I still talk to some of those guys to this day.
