Tbf, it'd make sense for the archetype to have an Extra Deck Plunder for each attribute so why Konami didn't print a WIND ship with the EARTH ship is weird.
I feel it on the "use 100 percent of your brain" I was going to take runick plunder to my upcoming regional, but after playtesting it, I came to the conclusion that I personally could just not play at 100 percent like that for 8 rounds, on top of every game being a long grind where a small mistake can ruin you on top of all the other downsides mentioned in the videos. Been playing Plunder variants since release and it definitely feels like the best one at the moment but jeez is it a mission to do well with it.
A bit of a punder patroll related anecdote i have is that last week i brought ninja to my locals and my last duel is against plunder and game 3 was hype as shit bc everyone else already finished and just watching my game and its super tight and it's Naruto vs One Piece. Probably the best feeling I've got from playing this game in a looong time
@@captainH023 it really is, the funniest part is I think I like both decks, they both have interesting ways to interact. I think I'll build both eventually, I've just been looking for something to build and play other the D/D/D's
Man I've just been loving going second nibiru -> NS whitebeard -> link nibiru and Whitebeard for geonade transverse -> whitebeard effect to DS golden hair in Attack -> geonade transverser taking the nib token and giving them goldenhair And here you are doing actually good shit 😅
This is the same way runick spright uses the runick cards. Control tools and a ton of draw power to do spright stuff. With the added thing that Huggin’s a 2
Hey if you want to play a "combo" version of Runick (which can draw in the first turn up to like 18 cards) try Synchro Runick Maybe a potential deck for 10 Minute testng
Fun fact, i earned my qualification to the european championship playing this deck during tear format. I kinda feel smart and proud, labbing this deck before it became popular ^^
Plunder really is the new Infernoid, it’s good for exactly the first week or two of a format before anyone starts bringing their meta brews to locals and it goes back into rogue
I pulled the Jord + Rivalry lock against Swordsoul a couple weeks ago and I can confirm it's hilarious Friendly reminder that Jord is pronounced "Yord." The ship names are the Norwegian word for their attribute and they pronounce J like Y
Yeah, Runick really isn't that bad. Unless it is pure Runick stun you are playing or playing against, they make an excellent toolbox for both going first and second that generates advantage as well.
The thing about Runick is that it lends itself well to some extremely oppressive Control setups that make it difficult for opponents to do anything, so it gets a bad rap. Stuff like the Spright Main Deck and Naturia Extra Deck monsters give them a massive negate board that's annoying to get past, while cards like Shark Cannon and the Ishizu Fairy cards give it an element of Graveyard Control it lacks, making it feel like it covers too much ground in both cases. Plunder's take on it here focuses instead more on Attribute Control, and provides banishes on the field when you would otherwise only be able to banish cards still in the deck.
Can i just say, i really appreciate how in one of your other series', i cant recall which, you had said TMT would be discontinued for some reason or other, and your viewer-base basically said "no" (really appreciate that, these are very useful for noobs like me), and here we are :)
"'Plunder' they said, this is Runick with a thin film of Party City Piracy!" Yeah, much like your "Ghostrick" was Adventure Psychic with a thin film of Halloween Hijinks. (This is a joke, I'm not actually still mad about the Ghostrick TMT-)
seeing that plunder activation in response to the zone locking i wonder what would happen if you place a card where a zone will be locked earlier in the chain as you can only target zones that are unoccupied so will the card just be sent to the grave in that zone or does it stop the locking
Ah finally, a real disgusting, immoral pirate I can hate. Not like the lukewarm, two-goody-shoes pirates in fictions as of late It only took runick cards and floodgates
I hope the wind ship effect is something like "you can activate 1 plunder patroll trap from your deck, and if equipped with plunder patroll card you can activate it from gy instead" I think this would be nice since one of the trap can send 1 your opponent ED monster to gy
Need mbt to redo this deck (or any plunder) with gen and ken. Using moerk turn 1 and/or lys to +1 is soooooo good for the deck. There's so many 2-3 card combos and you can use thrust for shipshapes ships shipping for discard fodder that pluses and obviously talents is crazy. Little theory crafts I can't wait to build in paper ^^
Speaking the facts here Edit: non unuronicaly if there was a divine ship, plunder players would probably start using sphere mode at least in the side deck
I'd personally cut 1 Redbeard for 1 more Goldenhair. Both the tuners are needed for the draw combo, and Red is kinda dead since it's one of the worst ones, so I'd max on the tuners instead. With Red the game just turns into Blackbeard control with Runic spells, while the tuners allow for more draws and more potential access to Rivalry.
At like 6:30, wouldn't the interaction with Moerk and Fountain not cause a chain block? Since Moerk is an optional quick effect, opponent has response time to Ash, right? Versus Huginn/Fountain where both effects activate at the same time so you can order the chain, Moerk is just a normal quick effect. please correct me if i'm wrong i've been playing this list since the peru top came out and if i can cheese lemme cheese
Yo ho captian, want to try adventure plunder?, it can combo with AFD (aquamancer plus Whitebeard/yellow is a 7, and aquamancer can place a field spell form deck)
