I bought all of these when they came out 5-7 years ago, and they are great runners. I've tried lashing no more than two together at a time, so I think you have done very well. My stuff is all at my Florida double wide trailer where I snowbird, so I only get to play about five months a year. I just remembered, I bought a larger power supply before I left this year. Awesome video! I am a Wisconsin resident and I love all the trains but my favorite engine is the Chicago North and Western. In Green Bay I seen 5 CN&W engines pull over 100 cars and a lot of them were coal. Thanks again I might have to get the CN&W engine for my layout.
Great video & layout. My favorite of the Union Pacific heritage SD70ACE locomotives are of the Southern Pacific in Daylight colors and the Denver & Rio Grande Western locomotives, those two are on my bucket list for my own N scale Pacific West Coast railroad.

Amazing!!! I love watching this and want to put a N scale of my own. What is the difference between DC & DCC? I am used to my old O scale and N scale is new.
With DC, you vary the track voltage to control train speed, but you don’t have control of individual locomotives. This is basically like conventional mode with a Lionel controller or similar. DCC applies a constant track voltage and then sends signals through the track to decoders in each of the locomotives to control speed and sounds and such. This allows you to control multiple locomotives on the same track, have advanced sounds and all of that. Basically it works like the MTH DCS system or Lionel legacy system (well I think, I’m just now learning about those). You can convert DC locomotives to DCC by adding decoders to them and DCC locomotives can run on a DC powered layout as well. DCC locomotives almost always cost more than DC locomotives, of course. But again, like these that I bought, they can be upgraded later to DCC capabilities.
That’s a great explanation. Thank you. Watching your videos makes me want to live closer to see you working on your projects. When it comes time when I start my layout, I know I want to do the freight car pictures to help me get used to the smaller setup.
Yeah, that made it easy. More tedious with DCC. I’ve done that before (not with 7, just 2) but the main thing was that the cost for all them in DCC would have been prohibitive.
