Thank you very much for this solution that makes the bourns very interesting. Latency does not seem problematic in your example. Look forward to seeing the video on the details on this board and the i2c protocol.

Yvan! That i2c port expander is amazing! Never knew they existed. I think that would make an amazing video. Thanks.

Hi Yvan, can you make the set and ship the tested set to Minnesota USA? I'm assembling a pendant to control my large 3d printer, your rotary encoder+arduino would work for that. Ideally has to be x10 and x100 buttons and a larger display. Can I contact you to discuss?

hi please design a midi controller using 8 simple rotary encoders and the same i2c multiplexer so that such a midi controller can be used later in adobe lightroom by mapping the midi controller. this would be of great help as there are no tutorials anywhere.

i want to use this encoder to set values in my arduino from different pages and display them in a lcd. i have one page for every value and i can switch the pages with a button. when i set one value to 10 and the next value to 20 and i get back to the other page and increase the value by 5, does the encoder enter 15 or 25? If 25, is there a way to increment based on the current value of a parameter?

would something like this work? encoderValue = myACE.mpos(); if(encoderValue < lastEncoderValue) { myValue1 ++; } else { myValue1 --; } lastEncoderValue = encoderValue;

You can find most of them on Amazon, the Bourns encoder you will need to do a google search to find it in your country. Digikey has them I believe. Hope that helps!
