Running Out on the Rent 

The plaintiff says he and the defendant have known each other for 20 years, but their friendship fell apart when they moved in together. He claims the defendant didn’t pay rent and the landlord wanted to evict them. The sheriff came after the plaintiff for the rent, which he paid, so he’s now suing the defendant for his portion. The defendant says the plaintiff was a slob and he was the one not paying rent. He insists he owes nothing.
