Located in North Yorkshire, the three peaks are Pen-Y-Ghent, Whernside and Inglesborough in the Yorkshire Dales. The route is 24.5 miles long and it has over 5328 feet of accent.
I got everything right from clothing, trainers to food, water and energy gels. Everything worked and went as planned. 🙏
To put this into context, I tried and failed to walk the Y3P's back in January 2020 and for many different reasons (the weather, being really heavy, clothing, being really heavy, the trails, being really heavy...etc) I had to quit at the 16 mile mark, half way up the 2nd peak. It took me over 10 hours to get to this point as well.
This is a landmark race in my fitness journey. This felt like a step up in some way and I am now one step closer to completing the 100k Ultra I've got coming up in September 💪
