I've had the Salomon ADV Skin 12 running vest for 8 months now and have racked up quite a few miles in it including a 50km run, so I think I'm pretty qualified to tell you about it in this review.

Thanks for the great review! I used the pack on a 18 mile jog. Used both flasks & the platypus 1.5 wide mouth bladder along with snacks, shades, longsleeve inside the pack. Super comfortable & no bounce or nothing annoying. Great purchase!

In the main back pocket there is also a smaller one as well as two additional clips for your front adjustable bungees in case one breaks.

Great review & easy to see why you chose this pack. My current distances don’t require anything more than a snack 😝 but I did recently purchase a neoprene style belt. It holds my cellphone, house key, I.D and energy bar. I can also fit in a 500ml water bottle. Way better than the pockets in my shorts 🤦🏼‍♂️ Thanks for sharing your knowledge 👍

You really can fit the kitchen sink in that pack, race vests nowadays are so much better than a few years ago. I'm not a fan of straws, just a personal preference 👍🏃

Always some great reviews Shane, don’t forget you can feed the straw through the bottom of the bag through the pockets, and the latest 2020 version comes with the wider water pouches 😃

Excellent review. I've owned an ADV 5 for a long time and it's perfect for most California trail runs, but i just recently bought an ADV 12 because I'm planning some very long runs through the high Sierras where the weather can change dramatically so I need more food and gear storage. Have you had any problems with things falling out of the long open rear pocket? That pocket would be perfect for my anorak but I'm worried it could slide out.

Cheers for that! Wow California trail runs!!! I've driven through a few times and watched quite a few vids of them. I do love that part of the world! I'd put money on the anorak and food being safe for sure. The zip is good and the pressure goes to the material not the zip. Enjoy those runs!!! 👍😎

@@shanebow I've only used it once with bottles loaded up front... It performed well though I'm used to running with a bladder on my back.

Trail running races are my next plan if things go back to somewhat normal and these events are not canceled. I'll be getting something like this when that happens. Thanks for the review.

The 8 is kind of underwhelming. I ordered it and sent it back immediately. Not nearly as many storage spots as the 12, and doesn’t have a separate bladder pocket.
