My buddy Simon was RW biggest fan starting from their first album. Basically it's all he would listen too. He even had a relationship with the band's manager. He died in 2012. His biggest hope was that the world would finally recognize the bands incredible talent.

I can’t disagree with you more. Sure, people may “know” the great Running Wild. But not many actually “know” them. Go look up their rateyourmusic page: look at how many ratings their albums have and then go look at their contemporaries or even the bands come after them. They are completely underrated because if they weren’t underrated they would be recognized so much more. Knowing or hearing about a band is completely different than recognizing and appreciating the greatness. And a lot of people don’t. Running wild should be more known because their catalog is incredible

Absolutely. For the quality of music they have put out since the beginning, they should be bigger news. But unfortunately they are overlooked. They deserve more attention and a lot more respect.

@@JTCS-re7ge A LOT of underappreciation for the band comes from Rolf's disdain for touring and other dumb business decisions such as refusing to be on MTV, refusal of shooting videos, a zillion line-up changes, a few weak albums in their middle years and stuff like that. This is well known among the fans of the band. Sure they deserved to be a lot bigger than they are, but its a no brainer why they are not.

I love Running Wild. Went over to Germany to see them live & got backstage & met them (amazing trip!). But, at this point, *I’d have to say the band Blazon Stone has supplanted them.*

Sorry but the new Blazon Stone album does absolutely nothing for me. No catchy choruses, weak riffs and very bad singing. This song is one of the strongest RW I’ve heard in a while.

Death or glory is a masterpiece, top notch stuff. But also 90s era Running Wild made true masterpiece albums. Pile of skulls. Black hand inn, Masquerade and The Rivalry are GREAT albums.

@@andyphelpsfishingvlog9681 You are wrong about this. In the 90s Rolf had real drummers and not a drum machine. Blazon stone and Pile of skulls albums had real drummers, you can check their names if you have the original CD's. Also Black hand inn, Masquerade, and The Rivalry had Jorg Michael on the drums. He is very famous one the best Metal drummers ever! From the Victory album and until today, yes Rolf uses a drum machine.

@@emperorpalpatine7540 I know who Jörg Michael is. Met him a few times, with various bands headhunter, rage and a few others. . All I know is there were a few albums where there was a machine instead of a human doing drumming.

I'm a huge fan of virtually all their/his albums for a long time. Crossing the Blades was alright, but this track is fun, rocking, and whewee boy those solos are sassy. Not re-inventing the wheel, but nailing what he does best. Can't wait for the epic (The Iron Years). If you think they're long over, but didn't listen to or like 2016's Rapid Foray with Red Skies, Black Flag and Last of the Mohicans (hot damn!), then I don't know what to tell you.

Über das Schlagzeug lässt sich auch hier diskutieren und die teilweise schwammigen Gitarrenklänge sind ja heutzutage auf vielen Alben Standard, aber ich denke hier eher an das Niveau vom Vorgänger, der zumindest in Teilen wirklich sehr stark war.

I followed the links to this one after hearing THE SHELLBACK. This is a much better-structured song to my ear, being consistent throughout. Though my current listenings of this band amount to just two so far, there's a general pattern of ok songs with great guitar work that keep me coming back for more. It lacks the x-factor to make it exceptional, but it grows on you - you'll be singing along after a few plays of this one - definitely one for your rock/metal playlist. My Score: Good 3*

Finally new Running Wild and this time without drum computern, better said Angelo Sasso? At least it sounds better than all the last Albums. And harder, heavier guitars. Sounds like I heard this many times before. As much as I love new material of RW, the drum computer, the song structure.... its a OK song.

Sounds a bit like a demo from the home studio... considering the past 1.5 years in Germany, probably not surprising :) Granted, if I can achieve that sound quality on my PC I´ll be more than happy... But for a legend like Running Wild, a bit underwhelming... Yes... It´s "okay"... I´d agree :)

Good song, better than previous records. The Rivalry was ther last album i really enjoyed. Seems like this is going to that direction.

Yeaahhh .... Endlich....damals mit 12 zum ersten Mal Running Wild....es gibt nur zwei Bands in meinem Leben die mich seit meiner Jugend begleiten. Running Wild und Iron Maiden.... Jetzt bin ich 41....hat sich nix geändert....
