It looks like you were having fun, George. My knees don't like running on hard pavement that is why I took up cycling. For my indoor riding I use a sportscrafter trainer (Just a couple of aluminum wheels in a frame that you put under the rear wheel of your trike) We have 3 seasons here. Winter, almost winter and mosquito. As far as a drone name, the only thing that comes to mind is Sky Spy.
Sky-spy I like that! Like you Jim I was a runner and still love to run. But I enjoy riding because of the low impact and I can do for so long without deep muscle and joint pain. It’s really no comparison.
This is really a neat format. I like you up in the corner with you running with your drone. I recently got my Skydio2 and I refer to it as Little Guy. You are right, it feels like a friend. Good luck on the naming . And God bless you and your viewers, from sunny Mesa, AZ.
You and me both, hopefully my next video can be footage of me on the trike. We have gotten a lot of rain and I’m not sure when the neuse river trail will dry out?
Cool drone, my thoughts on the battery life, from model aircraft, the lipo cells seam to start @60% of life and reach peak charge about 5 charge cycles in.
Mr. Technology! Can't wait until you master the drone with your trike. Nice work. To make sure I understand, the drone was tracking onto your phone, correct? But how did it know to rotate the camera to keep ahead of you? It can determine in what direction you are moving? That was intriguing. Also, can you have it hover at a fixed altitude? What about trees or other obstacles that might be in the drone's flight path? Thanks for posting.
I’m about to release a video with on the trike and the drone tracking me. So for the drone to track effectively I purchased a beacon the connects tot he drone and you connect the phone to the beacon. The beacons excites the gps tracking while the phone connects for the visual tracking. You can set the altitudes and it will fly at that altitude depending on how it has go around obstacles, like trees, poles, and buildings and structure.
Looking into getting one soon. Question, when you hook up the phone to the beacon, can you control when to record? I heard that if it’s just the beacon, it starts recording as soon as the drone takes flight.
