Can you tell me how you are filming what you write on 'the white board' and then switch back to a video of you? I'm just starting out making content for my You Tube channel English without Fear
I record both my face and the whiteboard at the same time with two cameras in a single take. Then in the video editor I synchronize them and by cutting the videos I chose of I want to show only my face or my face and the whiteboard. This particular video uses a style that I don't use anymore.
I use an overhead rig to record the whiteboard. Lately it's as simple as a tall tripod with an extension that allows me to point the camera directly down.
Wow! That is interesting. Is one camera your iPhone? And one is on a laptop? What do you use now? I appreciate your help! And I'm amazed that the school in Thailand uses this method of helping students acquire the language through LISTENING with understanding.
And the overhead rig holds your iphone? That is recording the whiteboard and then your laptop records you speaking into the built in camera? What software do you use to embed / combine them into one for your video?
I use a proper camera for the overhead view. In this video I was using a Sony dsc-rx100 and these last few months I've switched to a Panasonic G7 (a cheap-ish mirrorless camera). For the front view I use my old GoPro since I need the wide field of view.
