I just finished season 6. I have never ever felt such emotion for a fictional character in any show like I did for Peter Quin. Absolutely outstanding acting.
She did have a moment when she came across something personal in his belongings. No? I'm only at Ssn 6, & yes, Rupert Friend is extraordinary...& SHOULD BE the next James Bond.
Quinn would have went to hell and back for Carrie and literally did, he saved her life at least 4 times. Carrie ruined Quinn, she destroys everything she touches. She never believed in him and only stopped him from killing Haqqani for her own personal benefit, not Quinn's. I also ask myself this question, what did the writer have against Quinn? All the shit he went through, thought they could have done much more with his character.
@@wctrqn Honestly, Carrie doesn't deserve being in the photos of Quinn in the end, and the fact that there is not even a hint of Astrid is a huge fuck up in my opinion.
My favorite show on planet at this moment! Homeland: Excellent acting, adrenaline rush scenes and an awesome connection between staff. Can't stop talking about it!
Seriously, give Rupert an Emmy or Golden Globe for his performance this season or collectively. If he doesn't deserve it, then I don't know who does. Hell they give garbage like Modern Family and The Big Bang Theory awards all the time and they don't deserve jack shit. He truly is the heart of the show and makes for the truest and most interesting character that actually feels like a human being going through hell with no one to believe him, help him or defend him. I love Clare Dannes and Mandy for their performances which are top notch as always but their characters seem to have gotten less human and more superficial as time passes were as Quinn seems to be the most realistic and likable portrait of a truly damaged but incredibly likable and salvageable human being. His attacks and loss for words and motor coordination seem way to believable. His acting is exceptional and I truly hope he gets the credit he deserves. Makes me want to watch Agent 47 again.
So true and justly spoken....he deserves it more than anyone...they just robbed him what he truly deserves....who ever tricked in by not giving him Emmy awards or Golden globe awards, o wish and pray Karma gets them all...even if it takes a life time......Rupert was truly deserving an award for this outstanding acting skill....
I just finished season 4 - 6 yesterday because I needed to take a break after Brody's death. Now that Quinn is dead, I don't know what to do with myself. I weeped.
You saved me, why? Question of Conscience - is very interesting one. I had conversation with some practicing Orthodox christians who said to me that they are with God, so they do not need Conscience. I remember I was shocked. So, I hope it will be played out in interesting way and it will be nothing like Mr Gansa said in interview recently: Carrie didnt through with it (killing Quinn, because she is catholic) Which has nothing to do with faith, but with Conscience.
Same, I stopped watching after Quinn died, because I can't stand her without my fav character. She hurts everyone and at the end they forgive her anyway. I think Dar Adal war right, when he asked what kind of spell she putted on Quinn and Saul, but actually many more people.
We can say that Quinn was one of the best-built characters in history - alongside Carrie, Brody, Saul, Dar Adal and Virgil, Farah, Astrid, Max... It would be possible to clarify the following doubts: - Would you like to see Homeland reveal how the CIA explained Brody in Iran and his death to the American press? - Clearly, Javadi's ability to receive credit for Brody's capture helped his cause in Iran, but did the US government reveal Brody's role in Akbari's murder? - Was your name cleared for the CIA attack? I'd love to know what you think. - Another loose thread: Paul Franklin and the murder of the "real" CIA bomber. He ended up doing that scene ... why ?? Carrie was publicly humiliated, beaten, doped, shot and put her life on the line countless times without hesitation, just to make others see Brody as she saw him ... and she succeeded. Abu Nazir, the CIA, Jessica and the show's own audience, no one came close to seeing Brody with the clarity Carrie has always seen. Carrie has always read Brody like no one else. Ah, Carrie's dialogue with Javadi was incredible, it will be one of the most memorable moments in the series, without a doubt! “And what you wanted, which was for everyone to see what you see in him. That happened. Everyone sees it through your eyes now ... ” - How did Carrie see Brody? and how did the US come to see this? It's the world? The 3rd season did not correspond to the 1st and 2nd as it should be. Compared to most seasons it was weak, as the plot and plot issues that were overlooked or addressed briefly stood out in season 3. There was no "hunting" in Brody's scenes earlier in the season to make it look like he really was desired NOS. Where Roya Hammad and his terrorist partner Mister X... They were? We never received an explanation for the events surrounding how Brody's car was moved and his involvement, only what we got was the "real" author of the bomb at the CIA in a hotel that we must believe to be a super leap that changed the script. For such an investment in storytelling around Brody's family over the past 3 seasons, for him to just disappear the way he did, it was a waste of time - to make Dana's story worse, it was shallow. And all those scenes about Mike and Brody's wife continually in love with each other, and just ending up in season three were useless - and Brody's son disappeared. What about Brody's marine friends who thought he was part of the conspiracy? And Quinn's underutilization throughout the season after being instrumental in the beginning of the second season's premiere. All positive points, they should have made the homeland a show of this 3rd season and address every possible plot! Claire Danes and Damian Lewis gave us, in Damian’s words, “two broken-winged birds sort of hobbling and circling around each other” in Carrie and Brody in such a compelling way that even though it really ended in tears, it was a GREAT RIDE as long as it lasted. And if you miss these two as much as we do, you may want to re-live the LOVE with Carrie and Brody: Was It Love? YES. Homeland had a sensible ending, closed all of Carrie's stories, while continuing the ongoing story of America's and Russia's rivalry. The series ends, but does not end, only better than that was seeing all these years incredible performances by Davis, Damian Lewis, Rupert Friend and Mandy Patinkin ...
