I’m so proud to be here in 2020 :‘) and yeah.. that Belfast accent had me dying at the beginning of the movie but after a while you indeed get used to it even though English may not be your first language
@SareyGamp some ppl just suck at public speaking. i do too. not everyone is extroverted and outgoing fyi. the thought of having to speak in public freaks some people out and they tend to get nervous while theyre doing it. its kind of (no pun intended) involuntary. he shouldnt be badmouthed or made fun of for something he cant really help. at least hes being professional and polite (not saying robert isnt).
@ElectrikkPaperClipxx Not intending to make fun, just pointing out he should try to address it & resolve it. People with stammers can get help to fix it so I'm sure he could be media trained to stop saying 2 words to excess. Celebs get so much media training, whether he likes it or not it's part of his job, I'm surprised his agent/PR people haven't addressed it, it's practically a speech impediment and for someone so much in the public eye you'd think he'd want to fix it too. I'm sure he could.
I think its okay that rupert says kind of a lot because im familiar with the whole nerves thing and the whole repetition of a certain phrase when im talking and for me its the phrase "for some reason" so I think its really okay AND I LOVE ROBERT YEE HAW ILY ROB
@CountingDownFrom730 So what if he says 'kind of' a lot, he's still a really great actor, and saying 'kind of' doesn't make him stupid. In fact, he's proven on many occasions that he's quite witty, he's just gotten shy over time.
@ashalini91 Wow, dont put words in my mouth. I don't think he's stupid at all, he's obviously an intelligent and very funny guy and its utterly charming he's so shy instead of into himself. I'm a big fan of his so there's no need to convince me he's a great actor, thats obvious.
Rupert should in future get whoever he's being interviewed with to elbow him every time he says 'Kind of', he'd stop it soon enough (if it's pure nerves), he'd be bruised to death. If I was Robert I'd have flipped doing so many interviews with him doing it in EVERY single one (they have to do hundreds of these press things!) and kicked over something in the room (or throttled Rupert, even though he's a nice bloke that kind of repetition would drive me nuts). Sweet lad, terrible public speaker.
Rupert is HORRIBLE at interviews. But that doesnt matter because it makes him even more adorable and hes an amazing, believable actor :0) Im totally crushing on the ginger haha. Are you into black girls???? XD
@ElectrikkPaperClipxx I have nervous habits but his speaking in interviews is hideous (so grating), mine tends to be a shaky leg (which I'm pretty sure is nowhere near as annoying as saying the same 2 words over and over). I never slagged him off (I said myself he's a nice bloke), if you're trying to compare Robert and Rupert don't bother, they're both lovely guys (Rob is NOT obnoxious). Rupert is just terrible at being interviewed, he's a great actor though, maybe he should just stick to that.
