Actually it is better to see from far. .But in reality u will never want to live there. .No proper roads, electricity, illiteracy ..No government support. .totally challenging life. .
Virak Thong we became enlightened and realised our Creator is ONE, we don’t need images, statues etc to reach HIM. The Buddhist in us is still within us , peaceful , loving & nature loving. You tried to caused trouble by your nasty comment but my faith stopped me replying in your Nast tone. The Creator is ONE, how people worship HIM depends on where they are born, raised and what they are exposed to. In the end Humanity connects us all, learn to be human first, then follow any faith that sits well in your heart & soul. We still have Buddhist and Hindu , Sikhs & Christians in Pakistan! Nepal has always attracted me...I am from Guwahati,India and visited Nepal seven times..been to Kathmandu,Pokhara,Kusma,Baglung,Beni,Muktinath,Bandipur,Gorkha,Sindhuli Ilam,Dharan ,Dhankuta etc...and still would like to visit again and again...

"that is better life, they are happy", gift all your stuff and go and live there. Nobody do that. Long time ago I go and live in the mountain in Fiambala, Catamarca, Argentina, that was hard. Life in some places isnot easy, they live thay because is the only option, not all the people, but the majority, is not for choice, they learn to be be happy in anyplace. Maybe that is the Quid of the question, not the place. :-) (mi english is not good). Greetings from Argentina.

Touching video. Beautiful locations untouched by modern amenities. Use of firewood for cooking can be saved a lot by making earthen stoves with adequate ventilation, not leaving open on all sides where fire is burning. This saves energy from escape and takes less firewood, which in turn will leave trees standing for longer in the forests conserving the environment.
