This is such a good way of living, especially in rural communities, where some people go to sleep hungry. At least with this kind of trading, everyone is motivated to plant crops, which they can use to trade. That way, everyone has a meal.
Of all the videos I have watched in Africa you’re the one I want to visit the most. So authentic, the life we have in America seems so stressful compared to Togo!
I love Africa. It is a large continent with diverse customs, traditions, music, food, culture, art and traditional clothing. Thank you, wonderful video. 🎉❤
Wow Christelle..You've brought one of the wonder's of the world to us...TOGOVILLE AND IT'S BARTER TRADE...I will share this to acquaintances to watch..Really awesome in toto...Does the town have Air B&B /Hostels/Hotels that hosts tourists?..This place is a must see town...Imagine the tranquility and good mannered people there..God bless Togo.
Am here enjoying wow I remember we used to exchange food at the northern part of Ghana That’s my sister she knows how to buy in the market 😂😂 well done 👍🏽
If they refuse to take money, could you buy something from someone who wants to sell for money and then barter with for what you actually need? It must be convenient for them to do that as on an island they cannot spend the money which they would get selling their things. An interesting concept though...surprised the young girl refusing to sell for money. She must have been told not to do that.
Definitely. I'm sure she was told by her parents not to sell anything. Most of the items she was trading for, the owners don't accept money either maybe that's why.
