not sure about this. in slavic folklore rusalka was an water nymph but mostly found near sweet water , in the woods. Rusalkas used to tickle man for the death xD

Us staying in Western Eurasia to this day and part of us migrating to Eastern Europe and Balkans is what allowed us to still keep those roots. Those who migrated in the far West lost that connection to the Indo-Europeans,eventually.

Actually Poland isn't slavic cuz, of the Russia, in the WW1 and WW2 Poland was attacking by Soviet Aliance(Russia) and Germany. Before WW1 and WW2 Poland was turkic speaker! Now Poland is turkic ethhnic but, now is too slavic speaker. Thats the truth. And I still like how Russians try to make a different history of Poland cuz, of Comunistic time.
