I'm a 57 year old black man and Rush was the inspiration I had to become a Computer Tech when no one thought possible!

Geddy Lee never fails to impress with his ability to sing and play bass at the same time. Both are crazy complex and often in total conflict with each other. More talent in this 3 piece than most 5 and 6 member bands.

My god...this is over 35 years old! Old? Yes. An undying classic tune? Absolutely!

One of the two most talented bands of All Time. Led Zep had Bohnam, John Paul and Jimmy Page.... Amazing!! Neil is the greatest drummer Ever!! Geddy sang, played bass and keys, plus assisted with the song writing. All at an elite level I might add. And, and.... Alex Lifeson is an unbelievable guitarist. Just try to play some of his licks, OMG!!

Can we talk about how 3 men made so many amazing, long-lasting hits and a sound that fills the room with just 2 guitars, a drum set and their voices?! Rush is awesome!

In 1989, my best friend, a hardcore RUSH fan, took me to see them live in Oklahoma City. During the concert I went from casual listener to instant fan. After the show was over I insisted (against my friends wishes) that we follow the band to their hotel to meet them. We did and while Geddy Lee was politely signing my friends tour book I saw Neil Peart leap out of the limo and literally sprint past all the fans gathered by the front door. He was gone in a flash to calls of his name. I thought to myself at the time "What a jerk!". Years passed and I ended up working as a dj at a classic rock radio station. For the first time in my life I actually listened closely to the words of Limelight and recalled my friend telling me that Neil wrote all the lyrics for the band. It suddenly clicked in my mind. He wasn't a jerk at all. He was living his own words. "I have no heart to lie. I can't pretend a stranger is a long awaited friend." Respect. Rest in peace Neil. The greatest drummer ever.

RIP Neil ❤️ My Dad was heartbroken when he heard the news. He was at a restaurant by himself and the waitress asked if he was ok (he was really teary-eyed). Neil, and RUSH in general, had a real impact on my Dad.

To me this is Rush at their peak. The musicianship is outstanding, and the lyrics speak of reluctant rock stars who are primarily interested in making music but have to cope with the business and have no desire to be the subjects of idol worship. Geddy's vocals are powerful but lack the shrieking heard on some of their earlier albums. Peart is in top form, and Lifeson's guitar work is actually audible and not buried under layers of synthesizers. A classic.

Anyone else here binging Rush after hearing of Neil's passing?

I don't go to many live concerts but I did see RUSH in MN. As soon as they took the stage and started playing the ENTIRE audience was on their feet and stood up for the ENTIRE concert.

I am 29 years old. Been listening to rush since i was 6 or so. Bring me back to the good times.

It just took 3 musicians to create such timeless music, I know they will stand the test if time.

Funny thing is, I remember sitting next to the record player in my room and just hearing Lifeson's riff after his solo and getting goosebumps because I thought it was so cool.

When we started listening to RUSH in high school, we were so sure we discovered this band; that no one else had a clue what they were missing. The radio was playing Pat Benatar, the Motels, Asia-- lovely bands! But we thought RUSH was our private treasure.... I realized much later, millions felt and thought the exact same thing...
