Goodbye, Neil....I love you...thank you for all the beautiful lyrics...thank you for being part of my youth....thank you for all the messages you left in your words...you will always be part of my heart...I hope you are finally at peace, and no longer hurting and in pain...as your fan, I will always, ALWAYS blast your music as loud as I can...and as your fellow human being and friend, I will continue to keep the valuesand standards you lived by and wrote about, and teach them to future generations. You are one hell of a man. Godspeed.
To whomever made this video, Thank You. It has been a source of solace for me throughout many intense stages of my life, I revisit it often. It also helped me grieve the loss of Neil Peart. His departure created a huge vacancy in the hearts of many of us who resonated so deeply with his words and musical talent. ❤❤
RIP Neil. I used to think "The most endangered species, the honest man, will still survive annihilation" to be the most profound lyric in this song. However I have now come to think that "In the own image, their world is fashioned, no wonder they don't understand' to be insanely powerful, especially in today's climate.
We've made more advances in science, in the last Hundred Years than in the entire history of Mankind...... To me, this RUSH song, puts it into clear perspective and captures that fact. For good or bad. Stupendous video enhancement! Thanks for sharing.
Dont use headphones. Music is not meant to be listened to alone and antisocial. Blast it with good big speakers. Big speakers sound way better than headphones. Listen to great music with other people! That is what it is meant for!
Why not do both? There’s value in both: going totally within yourself and the music with headphones; and sharing the experience with other people. The different experiences enhance each other.
Thanks for the video. Nice to see on a screen what always ran through my head when I listened to this song in the past. I grew up on RUSH. What could be better than being 15 and contemplating lyrics such as "Life in two dimensions is a mass productions scheme", and "Some world views are spacious; and some are merely spaced."? RUSH facilitated the development of my views by making observations that I hadn't quite considered yet but could readily identify with.
I personally believe that this is Rush's greatest song off all time. Gun to the head, this is it for me I would have to say. Ive always loved it and your video is about as great as it gets. Usually I close my eyes with head phones on. Now its head phones on and rewatching this video of my favourite song of all time from RUSH!
panda44r Thank-you Pendar44r - I would like to wish you a Happy Birthday On Feb 5th of 2016. I have actually thought of doing a Hemispheres video of the 17 minute epic. I like the part when Geddy sings "i have passed into Olympus", as that would require a very dreamlike presentation with a lot of smoke, fades, multiple images, incredible vistas. I have it well pictured in my mind. Now all i need is all the equipment to do it. Truly an astounding piece of work. R U S H forever.
Still Kickin, I gotta agree with Larry Lewis, this video is absolutely awesome, matched to an absolutely awesome song. Thank you for this, it is GREAT !!!!!
I actually cried watching this. Partially because of beautiful interpretation and partially because it's so barbaric how we humans treat the world. Thanks for posting!
OK folks 2019 and this remains a masterpiece of shred. All you green folk this was way ahead of its time. The lyrics lost in the incredible chops. These guys are FRIENDS
My first Concert was Rush Power Windows Tour Vancouver Canada. Blew my mind. Many nights JBL Stereo-headphones on laying down just after blazing some 80’s Era BC Bud and off go the lights as I lay there and let my fall into the darkness with any Rush Album playing Cover to Cover. No Phones, no IG accounts just a Teen in a room with walls covered in Rick posters and a closet full of Concert T’s and oh yeah and most days? A quarter ounce of Old School properly grown properly cured BC Hydro. Thank God 4 the 80’s.
I love Rush and you have done an amazing job with each video I have seen of yours so far, wow just wow please continue with your Rush work, a passage to Bangkok by you would be something to see, unless you already have. My viewing continues
6 of hottest years on record occurred since 2010. Rate of change is way beyond projections. I hope the ethics of rush in this song become global. Gaia bless Canada.
Eu amo essa banda! E essa letra ecológica so mostra o que é certo. O que o homem tira da natureza ela retoma para si. O homem precisa aprender a respeita-la.
20 degrees above average in the arctic, 95 degrees in Oslo, fires above the arctic circle, enough carbon in permafrost to double co2 in the atmosphere-A mechanized world out of hand.
Wave after wave will flow with the tide And bury the world as it does Tide after tide will flow and recede Leaving life to go on as it was... Neil is the man!
Seriously, fucking awesome video you got going on here !!! U rock!! Best vid on RU-vid and sooo much passion for the subject matter. It's like you put a lot of our brains to videos/pictures. woo hoooooooooooooooooooo
+Still Kickin This is the evidence that intelligent music can only inspire intelligent video, no matter if it's the original or a fan's creation. Beyonce, Rihanna, and Nicki Minaj can only make videos about showing ass
