So basically, once you hit the resonance, any excess copies of other beasts will be turned into secret spices. So say you need the owl to level 15 to get to resonance 15, if you get any other copies of beasts that aren’t level 15 (like 10 copies of seal and 3 copies of talismane) then those 13 copies will be turned into spices

Then you optimize the use of those spices to power level the priority beast. Instead of spreading it amongst all the beast.

@@arbre_mystique i have 2 beasts at 9 and im building more 3, but 2 of them i already leveled to 7, this copies that i already used on them are going to return as spices or i need to just leave them there to get it?

@@ianteix8460 It depends, you haven't really given enough detail. If you are going to eventually get up your level 7 pets to 9 for the reso 9, then no, whatever pets you use FOR the reso will not be refunded, only pets that are not part of the reso will be refunded. However, if you plan on getting 3 DIFFERENT pets to 9, giving you 5 level 9 pets and 2 level 7 pets, then those 2 level 7 pets will be refunded for spices

@@ianteix8460 if you already leveled them up, then no it does not turn into spices but if you have enough copies to take a beast to level 7 and you don’t use any of those copies, then they would return as secret spice

@@axxjazz. instead of spreading out the pets received over 3 on your wish list the ones you are refunded as spice all go to seal for example. So you’re basically having 3 seals on your wL if that makes sense

@@axxjazz. yeah but seal/owl/talis/lion 18 give significantly more benefit then having a couple lvl15/12s I got reso12, spice tricked straight to seal18 then worked on certain 15s

It depends, but some breakpoints are absolutely massive for pets, a level 18 seal will let you absolutely crush in single teams compared to having reso 15 for all pets, resonance is mainly good for multi teams, but even then, it doesn't really matter if your resonance isn't going to give your pets a good enough skill. Besides, you still keep previous resonances, e.g if you unlock reso 12, getting to reso 15 would help quite a few (but not all) of your pets a bit, but if you were to get seal to 18, that's an absolutely massive improvement to it, and all your other pets will still be at reso 12, which is really good for most pets. TLDR: It depends mostly on how many teams you'll normally use, but even then, you lose out on very little by spice tricking because ALL of your other pets will still have their milestone, it just means it'll take longer to get up to your next respective milestone, but the help of your level 18 seal will let you win far more than your lower levelled ones. If you still don't understand, go to the discord, there are many experienced players there who will be able to explain it better, but I can promise you that 95% of players will say that overall spice tricking is good

here's a better explanation that I just thought of: The majority of pets will work fine at level 9. However, some pets will only start working at higher levels, and some who work at 6/9 will also just have incredible level 12/15/18 skills. So, overall, getting your resonance past 9 will not be a HUGE help for ALL of your pets, which is why it's generally better to just have a lower resonance that still lets almost all of your pets be useable, but then get the pets who have super good higher level abilities (e.g seal level 18) further via spice trick. This way, you are only levelling the pets with great abilities higher, and the pets that work just fine at lower levels and don't have as strong abilities can stay there. It's essentially min-maxing your resources. I hope this explanation makes more sense! You don't have to do this ofc, especially if you're unsure what you're doing, since that could end up making you lose progress, but if you know what you're doing, then generally spice tricking is more useful.

You can or farm a bunch of level 8 beats to power level on to 12 when you get the rebate from the spice being over 9

I THINK what you're saying is right? But just in case, I'll try give a summary and hopefully that'll answer your question. example: resonance 6 needs 4 level 6 pets, so instead of just getting 4 pets to level 6 then immediately resonating, you wait, then get some other pets up, let's say hypothetically you get 3 other pets to level 6 as well. Now you are left with 7 level 6 pets, which means, when you resonate, 4/7 of your pets will be used as the resonance, and the last 3 level 6 pets you got will be converted into 6 spices each, giving you 18 spices total. You can then use these spices to get a specific pet up to an important breakpoint

Lest say you got 3 beast at lvl9 and one at lvl8, instead of lvl up the last one to 9 to complete the resonance you lvl up other beasts to lvl8. So in this example lest say you lvl up other 2 beast to lvl8 and then you complete the lvl9 resonance, in this case the copies you got to lvl8 the other beast will turn in secret spices.

It's pretty simple you delay your resonance pet (the last one you need for lvl 6,9,12,15,18 whatever) and summon for copies for beasts that are not in your resonance. Whenever you level your beast cystal every excess copy will become secret spice and that allows you to pump that into a pet you want to build. Example: Account at pet reso 6. To go to pet reso 9 you need 5 beasts at level 9 You level 4 beasts to level 9 (lets say seal, winged lion, blade rich, rock lizard) Then you keep the last one at level 8 and fill your wishlist with beasts that are not level 9. let us say talismane will be ur 5th level 9 pet - keep talismane at level 8 While talismane is level 8 you swap in beasts that are not already level 9 and summon copies for those. Every single copy you summon for a beast that is not level 9 (let us say you grab 7 copies for firebreather, moth and deer) will become beast food (so you would gain 21 secret spice) when you level your reso to level 9 TL:DR You get all but one to the reso level. Then you summon for all the beasts that arent at the reso level, and keep swapping them out before you level them up. Once you level your reso every Excess copy of a beast becomes secret spice. That allows you to chose 1 pet and level that one with all the secret spices. Note: I don't bother with this trick. If you want my opinion just keep the seal permanently in your wishlist untill 18 and with the 2 other spots go for ressonance pets @@thornado5443

Ohh so the trick allows you to power-level one specific pet and bypassing the randomness of the wishlist.

I think they covered it below; you build up beasts past their initial level to get more baits when you use the resonance feature. Any excessive copies get refunded.
