The sample was taken from the song Genjer-Genjer which was created to describe the situation and condition of the people of Banyuwangi (a city in Indonesia) during the Japanese occupation. Seeing its development, the Genjer-Genjer song, which was originally a song to soothe the suffering of the Indonesian people, began to shift in meaning. The Genjer-Genjer song was even banned from being sung during the New Order era, perhaps until now.

Well the story gets deeper than that, the pki(Indonesian communist party) really loved to play that song when they r doing a political rally, and then there is a coup in which the government thought the pki is responsible for. Then a counter coup happen and the government is under an anti communist dictator, bcoz the song is related to the pki, the government ban it and whoever play the song will probably die as there is a communist purge happening. Even though the song is not banned anymore, it is still taboo to be played.
