I Was An Addict for 27 years. I was brougtt up in Church; sung on Road, My Husband and I , We both Went through an Addiction. I was so Gone. I never will forget, When i went to Kenny, And I Told him, I Couldn't no longer do this, And Yes I was upset. I fought been in m out Of Rehabs, Get Clean. Then Fall, Again. But The last battle...Jesus. That Light shown down, I was Broken. I gave Kenny no Choice, But I can't Do this Anymore, He was out of Control, I had lost my Mom, Sister, 3 brothers. I know that Feeling, Pain. I missed them. We both Have been Clean in April will be 8 yrs. Thank You Jesus. Thank you Both for Sharing, We all Fall, Some Where. Thank God For Mercy. I saw the movie, "I Still Believe" by Russ Taff. I just turned 68 and in all of my life I have never seen a movie that has touched my heart so deeply. Russ is a living testimony of God's love and deliverance. It's raw. It's real. It's victorious. It's life changing!
I saw Russ and the Imperials 3x in the early 80s. One of the most electrifying voices without the anointing. With it-forget about it. With the net, 35 years later, I am blessed to hear him again. Over that time, I became a drug and alcohol counselor. So, many of us have suffered growing up in alcoholic homes- even Christian homes. There is hope and help. Thanks Russ for your honesty, openness and willingness.
