Despite LeBron James sitting out with a sore ankle, the LA Lakers had a successful first game on the road against the San Antonio Spurs, snagging a 125-121 win. Anthony Davis led all scorers with 35 points to go along with 17 rebounds. Russell Westbrook had his best game as a Laker, finishing with 33 points, 10 rebounds, and 8 assists. I wish for once Skip goes first and then Shannon gets to reply to his dribble. It also is sweet that Westbrook took down the Skipless Spurs. You know, since Skip is one of the biggest Lakers haters around. Skiyuuuuup, who cares if Spurs were up double digits? Lakers were up too. Crying about Parker and Duncan bla bla bla. What, Parker and Duncan were never up double digits and lost the game? Stop crying. The Lakers won...the end. Guys, Lakers fans travel, but many if not most of the fans at away games are local. Lakers fans are all over the country.

Few things, stop focusing on AD at the 5. He can play the 4 or the 5 as the game dictates. LEBRON HOLDS THE F’NG BALL TOO MUCH!!!! PERIOD!!! Did anyone notice right before that one handed dunk in the 4th, as Russ is bringing it up, AD signals to Russ to take it slow up the court and literally as Russ crosses the half court line, he took off and that monster dunk happened. When Russ came back down the court I immediately looked to see if AD and Russ slaps hands, AD put his hand out and Russ barely slapped it like 'don't tell me to slow it down no more.' I thought that was an interesting sequence in the game.

I got what Shannon is saying but like I said yesterday Russ will be more productive without LBJ with him on the court at the same time. Russ is not Russ with LBJ coz he's always thinking to please LBJ and fit with him and that's greatly affects his game. With AD he has no problem coz their in some way clicks. Again my opinion only.

AD is a big man, it’s a given Russ will have the ball more when it’s just those two on the court. Big men normally have to get in position to make a play with the ball; Russ needs to take a page out D-Wade’s book, learn to cut, make the appropriate pin-downs, and screen-and-roll better. Love Russ, but he got to learn to adapt when the ball isn’t in his hands.

As a Lakers fan, I'm glad we got Westbrook instead of Buddy Hield. I don't think Hield won't close out games like Westbrook does, Hield is a great shooter but not an All-star and not the guy to rely on if AD or Lebron is out. Westbrook is still a triple double guy if he wants to be or a turnover machine.

They making good points, but russ learning to play with Davis and bron could be approached separately. He could play with Davis like last night and learn how they jell...then play with bron and learn how they jell and then put it all together better. It may work that way

Somebody with some sense! I said just play 90's basketball. Lebron can still be a point forward just put the ball in Russ hand until late in fourth quarter. Let LBJ run the offense during that time to sure up the boneheaded mistakes. The game slows down toward the end especially during the playoffs. LBJ and AD may need to adjust their games to Russell Westbrook. 🤷🏽‍♂️
