I hope he'd just disregard the sensitivity this world has grown about race and stereotype stuff and be himself fully like he was 20+ years ago. I can just feel he's suppressing himself with these now. He did make upsetting speeches about this, so i know for a fact he is aware how this world has changed and needed to adjust to cope with today's world. I hate this change very much.

You could probably Google 'Ghana day of the week' and find out, I assume Russell has been to Ghana or has spent time with people from Ghana so he knows some inside knowledge, similar to other countries/cultures/languages. It's quite common for people to pick up on that type of info when you travel. Sometimes just the knowledge is enough to evoke a similar reaction to a laugh, almost like how does he know this, he can't know this, he's not xyz, maybe a nervous laugh. I've seen it many times.
