Poor interview. Interviewers interrupting each other's questions, interrupting the interviewee. They wouldn't even let him finish his answers. The best interviews don't need too many questions and flow like a conversation. This is uncomfortable to watch. It wouldn't hurt to have some humour in there, too. Ebro has too much of an ego to interview celebs. That should be left to the stars to act up. Even if you know the answers just be willing to listen and/or learn. How can they troll him for Kimora's age as well? Have some respect man. Lol Breakfast Club interview was so much better!
I totally disagree. I was much more entertained in this interview and I watched both. Sure, It's always cool to hear Russ talk without interruption..but I already know about most of the stuff he's on about and have heard him on those topics. I liked the tangents they went on such as Peter bringing up the Flatlinaz and seeing Russell's reaction. (a Juan Epstein with Russell would be epic) People need to lighten up. Russel has a great sense of humour and they were just playing off of that. And people need to stop being such fanboy's about the "morning shows". Do people really want the exact same thing with BOTH shows when somebody's on their radio promo?

This interview is trash. They're talking to RUSSELL SIMMONS as if he's Chief Keef in an interrogation room. Ebro even raises his hand to demand Russell not 'change the subject' while they try to deduce his spiritual and health beliefs into a joke about women. A Hip Hop station in NY disrespecting Russell Simmons? Compared to the Breakfast club interview it's clear as to why this one has 1,826 views at the moment and the Power 105 one have 52,000+ interviewing the same man in the same week.
They did not want to listen to him speak on an intellectual level. They were damn right disrespectful... but I guess they have the mind of an adolescent.... this was the wrong platform although he's trying to reach a certain age group....

The interview with The Breakfast Club was much more insightful and they were so much more respectful and didn't make fun of him or his mission. They ought to be ashamed of the way they acted.

I PERSONALLY THINK Ebro is just trying to attract more viewers and make more people listen to it, which is both beneficial to Hot 97 and Russell, because young people aren't attracted to interviews talking about Meditation so he had to cause attraction. Sex sells. I hope those where his intentions and explained to Rush afterwards,otherwise yea it would be really immature

Russell is in those high millions so it's easy for him to talk about some meditation bullcrap. There are brothas and sistas out there with REAL issues. People are living paycheck to paycheck. Nobody has time to sit and meditate. That ain't gon do nothin' and it's not gon take nobody's troubles away. He lost me with this one.
Don't knock it before you try it. Meditation has nothing to with $. What he's saying is meditation can help people deal with those real issues and maximize their time and potential. Yoga and meditation gives you a new outlook on life and promotes balance, peace and unity, something we ALL need no matter how much money we make.

In real life, I'm certain she knows better. So whose low IQ are they trying to pander to with inane questions like that? And Ebro? Immediately making this about sex? And "smashin' them bitches"? Ebro, too, is a highly intelligent person. He, too, knows better. So....? Either the audience for Hot 97 is truly that low-brow or the hosts are sadly out-of-touch with what people actually need.
