I have been watching football since the 1970’s. I’ve seen most of the great ones, including Unitas (he retired in the early 1970’s). Staubach, Tarkington, Bradshaw, Griese, Fouts, Montana, Young, Elway, Kelly, Moon, Aikman, Favre, Marino, Manning, Stabler, Bledsoe, Brady, Rodgers, Brees, Rothlisberger, and so on...I’ve seem them all, several up close. Wilson is the best. He isn’t the greatest, but he has that potential and would be on his way if he hadn’t been robbed of 2-3 MVP’s by the voters, and a Super Bowl by his own offensive coordinator. Wilson...that mothaf*cka is the best QB I have ever seen. F*ck top-5 of today’s QB’s. He’s a straight killer. If he was a basketball player he would be MJ or Kobe - or A.I. with Michael Jordan’s attitude. If he was a boxer he would be Ali or Sugar Ray Leonard, because he’s also the smartest QB in the game.
AMEN!!! YOU HAVE SAID IT ALL! MY FEELINGS EXACTLY! AND I PLAYED FOOTBALL IN SCHOOL AND HAVE BEEN WATCHING THE GAME SINCE THE 1950'S WHEN THEY WOULD NOT ALLOW BLACK ATHLETES TO PLAY QUARTERBACK BECAUSE OF WHITE RACISM!
@daAnder71 I agree with you, but it wasn't just stats... Russ had that shite 2017 team at 8-4 headed into the last month of 2017... The team lost 3 game alone, due to their kicker. He proved he was the MVP, when he beat the eventual SB champs in Prime-time (that win put them at 8-4... Everybody was talking about Wentz is the MVP, until after that game... Then the focus shifted to Russ... Cheers, and go 'Hawks!
One of Russell Wilson's best comebacks gets forgotten. Down 20 in the 4th quarter put up 21 points to take a 1 pt lead on the road in a playoff game at Atlanta. Because Atlanta got a miracle field goal at the end and won the game.
You just dont expect a qb like him who comes out as a rookie to take a team to the superbowl and win, then followed up with five probowls in the last 7 smh I bet the college that had him is so honored to claim him as one of the best ever to play the game. What college he come from??? Mmhhmm love it!!🤗😏
Sou obrigado a falar isso aqui ta uma porra Hahaha first of all ur name. what is that, second of all Wilson choked at the 1 yard line remember that? You guys allowed the cowboys to beat you the packers would never, also throughout Rodgers career he’s had way more game winning drives
What's great about these highlights was all the deep balls thrown. Also, that Chicago OT win, people forget Sherman allowed a 56 yard bomb from Cutler to Marshall to force that OT. Think about all the late leads he gave them only for the defense to give those leads right back.
@@zonered5621 -because for 7 years Wilson has covered that defenses's ass and yet the defense got the credit. Remember it was the defense that kept them from playing for the SB Wilson's rookie year and it was the defense that blew the 10 point SB lead Wilson gave them.
@@zonered5621 -what does the defense have to do with Wilson? Look at the film of the Chicago game. He threw what should have been a winning TD pass to Tate with 23 seconds left for a 17-14 win but in ONE PLAY, Richard Sherman was burned for 56 yards to allow the Bears to kick a game tying FG before he won the game in OT. They've lost at least 15 games over the years where Wilson gave them a late lead and the defense gave it right back. Detroit (2012)-4 point loss-FINAL POSSESSION. Miami (2012)-3 point loss Atlanta (2012)-2 point loss-FINAL POSSESSION. Indianapolis (2013)-6 point loss-FINAL POSSESSION. San Francisco (2013)-2 point loss-FINAL POSSESSION. Denver (2014)-defense allowed 15 straight points (FINAL 2 POSSESSIONS) for OT and Wilson led game winning TD drive. Dallas (2014)-7 point loss-FINAL POSSESSION.. Kansas City (2014)-7 point loss New England (2014-4 point loss-FINAL 2 POSSESSIONS. St Louis (2015)-3 point loss-FINAL 2 POSSESSIONS. Green Bay (2015)-10 point loss Carolina (2015)-4 point loss-FINAL POSSESSION. Cincinnati (2015)-3 point loss-FINAL POSSESSION. Yet FOOLS constantly say this was a all time great defense.
Rebecca Pettison : THANK YOU! I AM SO SICK OF HEARING ABOUT THAT OVERRATED DEFENSE! The LoB was money most of the time, but they had a penchant for late-game letdowns, and RW would have to perform his late-game magic to bail them out. He came through almost every time they let down. That’s the reason he leads the league in game-winning drives. RW also made Marshawn’s job easier by presenting a second running threat. RW’s versatility kept defenses guessing, and they could never afford to stack the box, which made the O-Line’s job easier and opened.
Notice how many of these are Doug Baldwin getting the catches. Gonna miss that guy. Thank u for all u did Baldwin. Ur my favorite receiver and greatest in Seahawks history. God bless baldwin!
He can be explosive in the pass game, and he can close games but he is asked to support/compliment a productive run game. As good as he is, there is a lot of lulls in the offense. He's small and he holds the ball at least a second longer than taller quarterbacks to find receivers. It's a deficiency that prevents his offences from being special. He's good, but he's overpriced. I don't see him in the Mount Rushmore of quarterbacks.
living forever lol where do you get your facts from. Russell Wilson only holds the ball an average of 1.89 secs when the league average is 2.4 seconds. He has way below average even though his o line collapses on him so quickly and he has to scramble. You’re just flat out wrong first of all, and the time he holds the ball doesn’t even matter because he could also wait for a receiver to get open down field. Please check facts before you comment
Hes gotta be TOP 3 in most 2nd half or 4th qrt comebacks /years played...ALSO probly have the most plays completed drawing the defense offsides with hardcount. So awesome to watch them execute those deep plays.
I think the argument over "Who's the best QB ever" is a waste of effort. Every era produced great QBs that had outstanding careers IN THEIR TIME and WITH THEIR RULES. You can't compare Wilson to Tarkington or Staubach, even if it's tempting. Can't compare Brady to Montana or Brees to Bart Starr. Different eras had different rules and different style emphases. I think it's enough to say that Brady, Brees, Wilson and Rogers are the preeminent QBs of their era and leave it at that.
I’ve been watching Russ every game since his rookie season. I’m a hawks fan and I used to just think he had a knack for getting lucky. 8 years he’s a hall of fame QB in his prime and we’re lucky every time he steps onto the field.
Back here in anticipation of the 2020-2021 season, I'm hoping for big things from the team this year. I'm hoping the defense can be more consistent with the addition of Jamal, Brooks, Dunbar, Irvin, and Taylor. DK is poised for a big year, and together with Lockette, Dissly, Olsen, Dorsett, Swain, Moore could be a dangerous receiving corp. Hoping DJ Dallas can add some depth to the running back room as Carson is now arguably the best in the division. The offensive line, if healthy, could benefit from another year of continuity, but it's still the weak link of our offense. The defensive line is severely lacking with the departure of Clowney and no elite pass rusher. However, Brooks, Irvin, and Adams should all help with getting to the QB, and Shaqueem should see the rotation more often.
I was at the Texans game @5:38. Everybody in the stadium saw Jimmy Graham wide open, you can almost hear everybody right as the ball is thrown. Idk it was pretty cool.
@@Tlducken Brady has never cleanly beat Wilson. Wilson has beaten Brady home and away. Only reason he didn't get a superbowl win on Brady is because Carroll made a bad call.
It might just be the LSD I took but I saw a few repeat clips. Either way I'm suing Russel Wilson for copyright inrefrigerent. I mean someone has to do it, ammiright?
I dont think Sydney Rice caught one ball in his NFL career that he didnt fall on his ass while doing so. Used to laugh my ass off at it, now i did again watching this. Im taking away from the bread basket dumps that Wilson tossed in Kearses hands though. Look at those passes. Even if he didnt try to catch it, it was there, right where it needed to be. God damn Wilson is ridiculous
People have known since 2015 that the “game-manager” label was complete bs, but many still say Russ was a game-manager early on. Game-managers don’t do the things we watched Russ do n his first three seasons. There was nothing about his play that remotely resembled a game-manager.
@@samcardenas1991 they still dont play a lot of play off games. Must lose their first one a lot... The things you are saying arent adding up because ever since like 2014 havent seen the seahawks in the playoffs other than last season...
@@samcardenas1991 even if they have played a lot. He must not have a lot of come back wins in the playoffs which again, how would wilson be a clutch QB?
@@protough8245 Wilson came back against an RG3 led Redskins in his first ever playoff game. Came back against the 49'ers in their first superbowl run, and won in OT versus Rodgers in 2014-2015. And came within a touchdown of the 15-1 Panthers after trailer by over 21 points in the 2nd half.
Russ is too damn fat this year! What is going on? Dudes at least 20lb over weight. Not as evasive. Who does he think he is? Big Ben? I'm a seattle guy, born and raised. My buds and family have talked about it this year. what do you 12's think? He's not old. Young enough to be every bit as evasive as early in his career. Isn't slow because of injuries. He should lose at least 20 and get back to his old self. he can break some runs now but he's not as respected. Needs to get lean for next year. We wanted him to cook. now he needs to fast...
Evil One coach made a bad decision and just cause he doesn’t have a mvp trophy doesn’t mean he isn’t great drew brees has never won a mvp and he is one of the goats
@@bloopmcgroober2580 wow you are a bandwagon fan. Rice won MVP in 87 and SB MVP. Russ is a high rated game manger who throws school yard prayers every game.
